I'm happy with my Doepfer Dark Energy, semi-modulars FTW!
Minibrute looks really dope though.

On studio I use it to sequence all my tracks. Drums with pads, for melodies I usually hook up a keyboard. Note repeat + swing on that machine are the best things ever.
Wow, my MPC is seriously underutilized. Where did you learn your stuff? Every time I try and sit down with that book I just get so put out by how much information they're throwing at me.
I spent one day with the manual and just tried shit.
I even wrote a realtime diary about it:

For controlling midi stuff with it, its basically same but just choosing what channel you are sending the midi from track.

I would pay good chunk of money for app that would allowe me to take midi messages in and then transpose / make arpeggios and spit them out with them.

Re: The Tried And Tested EP (83 replies, posted in Releases)
That's still not a long time...In my opinion, the best advice I ever got was to write 100 songs, knowing they will suck. No matter what, your first 100 songs are going to be bad, just because they are. Get past that point, then start releasing. You have a much better time getting known and having a strong rep with good releases as opposed to bad ones.
Malcolm Gladwell wrote a book called Outliers, that states one must spend 10,000 hours on something to be good at it. It might sound really stupid at first but more I've thought about this, more reasonable it sounds. Natural talent helps, but time spent with whatever is really the thing that shows. It's roughly 10 years with couple of hours per day.

Edit: Of course 100 songs can be 10000 hours.

Once again all the money is gone and man's gotta do what man's gotta do. Anyone need cover art or maybe some poster designs?
I'm not a pixel artist, there's lot more talented people doing that. But anything else I can pull off pretty good. Im fast and understand reasonable prices for smaller stuff even though I've worked as graphic designer.

I think this was pretty rad if you are heading to do some avantgarde-type of shit!
If this was supposed to be catchy and melodic, then it needs some more hours:)
