Hmm, does anyone know is doing midisyncing hard to implement to simple sequencer like this:

Making good audio with the arduino isn't really possible unless you plan to use one of the timer interrupts and make it faster.

Yeah, I take it more as a learning about building stuff, but the demos I've heard have sounded pretty nice to me.

But now the bending with midi controls sounds the most interesting choice. Doing bending 'sequences' sounds pretty cool.

Sounds really cool! Possibilities seem to be almost endless so its hard to start. I might really get into this, as happened with Pure Data (made a really simple 4-track drumsequencer + livelooper to use with Novation Launchpad) about a month ago. But let's see how hard this is with couple of excercises, thanks a lot for ideas, I'll post here whatever I'll end up doing.

Hmm that bending actually sounds tempting, I would like to do something that I probably would use at some point, since I have to buy the arduino. But switches for bends could be interesting, any other uses besides switching on/off come to mind?

Maybe adding some controls like this would be cool too.

I think I saw some drum sequencers / drum machines but I guess storing samples isnt possible because lack of memory?

Oh and I fixed my original bost. Bottom video was supposed to be 4bitsynth / Nessy.

So at my new school we have this course where we can basically do any kind of project involving Arduino. I've googled around and watched tons of youtube videos and readed tons of projects little-scale has done. I dont have that much knowledge about this stuff but there seems to be some pretty simple stuff that people have done.

I would like to build a little standalone synth with a midi input and maybe some knobs on the synth. Basically something like the controls in this + midi in:

Stupid questions following:

Can I have knob for pitch and midi-in at the same time?
Could I combine this with with that above (four channels with some knobs like the one above) or is this even possible with Arduino:

Another possibility is maybe to use Arduino for bending something (I have Casio PT-100 lying around pretty useless), is that possible/easy enough for dude who has only knowledge of basic bending?

Another cool projects welcome too, our teacher seems to be pretty good with arduino stuff and different sensors and I have almost 3 weeks to do this.

Im coming to Berlin for 5 days next weekend (saturday-wednesday). Any cool places to check out or any gigs or anything? Basically any information on what to do there would be cool! Fleamarkets, cheap places to eat, etc.
I can also play gig but I think that's little far fetched this quick:)

First Videovalvontaa gig was at some summercabin party in october 2005, we had no sync between GB and laptop, I had no idea of how to use my midikeyboard, there probably was lot's of pitchbending and useless knob twisting involved. We were really drunk.

First gig where there was other people than friends was in january or february of 2006. We organized it ourselves, didn't know anything about party planning. We invited couple of other bands to play. I dont remember much of the gig other than I was nervous as shit, the PA was awful (because we didn't really have a real one, only the one used for DJ:s) and during our last song we trashed as sort of ritual one NES unit. I played some gabberish beat and Keff threw (already broken, I believe there were much of insides missing) NES unit to the floor and stomped it to pieces. I think some people joined in too. I think we covered the rent of the place for evening and paid to other artists too, it was a fun night.

Usually all my cables are really neatly put! Friends sometimes call me cable nazi, since i'm always straighting them up and nagging about them big_smile

I confirm this. It rules, because I dont have to do any setup things when we play live:) CABLEFÜHRER has to do everything!

BTW, I need that Tapco after Halloween!

I went from software to pure hardware, now I'm back with software but using my hardware as samples etc. Much of it has to do with live performance and pure logistics. And of course with how I like to write music, I like to make livetakes, edit them to bits and pieces and continue with that more than say do a song in tracker and then just mix and record it.

I dont really care. If sitting front of computer when making music gets to you somehow, you probably sit front of computer too much anyway. I have huge respect for people who do music with just hardware, but it shouldnt be everyones goal to be just purely this or that. Each to it's own.

Hey this is really nice stuff!
