On my one song Polywrath I actually programmed quintuplets using D commands because I am crazy.

I actually figured out a really crazy yet cool idea of how to do this while still having other subdivisions behind it. Get at me on facebook wink

Cool stuff, TheFly. I'm sure everyone here always appreciates a little challenge like this now and again, we always get great results community wide. I know I personally had a lot of fun trying to compose Spaghetti Western...I think I might keep writing some tracks tracks in this style afterwards wink

I THOUGHT I calculated a formula that locks into place with the Speed, but by testing it with synced gameboys with one doing a click, it's definitely still slightly off. Looks like feeling it out is the only solution. hmm

This is something that isn't a problem for me with wav instruments with long decays, but it really bothers me when attempting to create staccato wav sounds like a bass stab/chug.

Neil Baldwin laying down the truth, can't argue with that at all! I fully support Neil's software developing vision.

Okay now, speed. This is what I was trying to figure out before: Is there a pattern to the Speed? Can it be defined in concrete terms of rhythmic values?

Yeah I'm on Mac, must be just non-apple friendly like you suggested! hmm

posting to say that a justinthursday mod has still been kicking strong for me and has been used as my main gameboy in every single live show thus far

It seems like people try to make a comparative site every now and then

Last one I know of was http://www.noisechannel.org which has really good intentions and sweet community-based events (releases, uploads, and their streaming e-concert was pretty fucking cool actually) but there's not enough activity there just yet for people to brave the really weird interface at this point I think

I support the idea and the people behind it (Modolith is TRUTH in my book!) but I'm really not down with paying to submit a track hmm

I followed the directions but am now getting an error within Dosbox.

Illegal command: adtrack2

Who wants to make and sell on bandcamp a Legalsounds compilation? We'll just take back and use the songs that were already taken. tongue

Hello TheFly!

Today I composed a piece of music specifically for this project. It includes themes for the setup, punchline, and release. Below are two versions: the original longer version and the shorter commercial edit which may be better suited for editing purposes. I can provide both files as high quality .wavs if preferred as well.

Original: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12252878/quick% … ong%29.mp3
Commercial Edit: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12252878/quick% … dit%29.mp3

Cheers!

Serious response: I think what he was talking about with Attack Attack was actually Negative Tracks, something I've always wanted to do. Dream Theater did it in Octavarium by using Negative Time to place hidden interludes inbetween songs and it blew my freaking mind.
