Thank god it's coming along.

Why not just choose pink link text like 8bc? That seemed to work well.

Also I'm totally against a dark background. We have one here and over at Noichan so I think sticking with the light background it a must.

Its a straw that breaks the camel's back kindof thing I bet. I know I'm not the only old user who is a bit annoyed at some of the new topics and users. This forum isn't what it used to be, and maybe for pixls this guy took the brunt of that frustration.

I agree with him to an extent as well. The dude came to this forum with the attitude a lot of new people do. They try to sound like they're more knowledgeable than the average user even though it's the first time they've posted in the forum. The classic inflated internet ego.

This thread didn't ever need to leave the first page, and it getting to 12 pages is kind of the reason I don't post here that much anymore.

And while I honestly do respect them as artists, it's the same people every time posting in the threads that go on for 12 pages about stupid shit. Or a legitimate thread that gets destroyed by the same dudes.

No one has said it in a while.
Thanks for all this, ui.
It's such a huge help for anyone interested. I direct all the people I talk about pixel art with to this thread.

There's a rumor that you can only call yourself an LSDJ artist if BRK is in at least one of your songs...

Cool, man. Sorry I jumped the the gun so my apologies. I like the text and the more subtle stripes of the background!

And minusbaby your portfolio looks great. Took me a minute to realize the images in each section can be switched haha I was like "buuuh? where's the rest?"

Alright just to be sure. I know you were asking for album art from other people on these forums...so is that your work or someone elses?

I write everything on a color and then tranfer it to a DMG. There's danger of slowdowns that way but only if you;re doing really crazy stuff at high bpm. Using a color is just more responsive and quick with navigating and button presses...its a smoother ride.

A halfclocked DMG though...is another story. You could take a nap between inputs and screen changes haha.

@8-bit-rex, the gray on the scissor man looks strange in the outline. In general they look a bit dirty, but just my opinion anyway! tongue

Yeah I was going to write in there that I really like the look of messy pixel art! Kinda slapdash stuff that looks like a messy painting rather than more uniform pixel art.

Are you running a newer version or an older one? I used to slow down the DMG with older versions of LSDJ, but I since I started using latest versions, I haven't yet.

Yeah, I wish I could remember which version I was using a while back. I'm fairly certain some older versions have a much more stable noise channel as I remember programming more complicated stuff in it no problem.
