This track is awesome! Where can I get it??

Haha, isn't it. The track is 'No use thinking' by Maru's 'Lo-bit Animal Mutation' album. It's on his myspace too.

There's some events that take place time to time here, nothing of a regular event - yet. Though I can keep you updated if anything does appear or is upcoming in the near future.

Not really connected to London or the South though having put on a few events over the years around the area here, the challenges I found with event running was finding enough of a key/loyal audience that was active enough to keep the nights running.

That said, on a national scale I'm sure there's enough of an inside and outside-audience that's able that gain enough interest to hold a successful yearly night (i.e. UltraChip).

I don't know the American scene so well, though from an outside observation it seems there's quite an active interest, willing set of individuals and audience that keeps its scene secure and going.

When Maru and BSK visited Newcastle earlier last year, we set up speakers in a public space which spontaneously got a large and appreciative outside-audience. So it's not that it cannot be done.

I might be planning something in the future, but I Am too new to the city yet to do anything.
Jellica played here a couple of weeks ago and I played here in October hmm

He really means 'Red' October tongue.

The artist GwEm usually hosts events and comes from London, Stevens too I think manages some chip-related events from time to time there too. You might want contact them and ask them if anything's upcoming!

Hey Nitro

That's cool. Thanks, I'll try and send it in a bit. Otherwise I've took the method of just learning to back it up beforehand!

Just ran it through the USB cable, it can't even pick up the sav file anymore. Think the only option is to start from scratch.

Hey Jellica.

Ah I see. Well I'll see if I've backed some of it up. Looking at the information, it says it has a total time of 161:1:169. Does it only have a certain lifespan? This is the USB 64mb Carts from Kitch-Bent as well. Also is replacing the battery an easy process?

Hey.

Until now, I steadily had LSDj working fine. Sometimes it would glitch out and I'd need to restart it. But yesterday it froze once again, like the full screen was full of pixelated bits.

Though this time when I restarted it all song data on the cart was just full of random notes and misplaced.  Loading the Songs where I had placed names on them now just have little < triangles on them and its just all proper messed from there  (i.e - all songs were not how I saved them, and I can only navigate down in 2's). Anyone else had similar issues like this?

Is this possible to recover? I'm guessing not, but hope that there is.

Performing at this upcoming gig. The show consists of a varied and broad diversity of different  acts. From local upcoming bands to even a special guest bass player who is more know as being 'the funkiest drummer in the Toon' - event.

It's a free event and is presenting local musicians and bands. If you're nearby come and visit, it definitely should be a good night.

To demonstrate and project how I perform/play some of my music, I created a new Techno-series Portal.

This is a 8 minute mix of 2 original untitled tracks (to be released), produced by myself and programmed each using 1 x Original Game boy.

Expect more of these in future.

Enjoy and spread, cheers.

Awesome, very nicely done.

I thought I had made the name up which it was meant to signify underground culture, I have never realised till now that the term lo-bit had a style in its following. I'm sorry if you feel this has caused any offence or misunderstanding.

EDIT: typo

What an amazing event this was! Thanks for everyone who came along and to those who helped take part making this possible.

Lo-bit Underground vol.2 took place from 8pm to 1am at the Star and Shadow's entirely volunteer-run venue in Newcastle with 5 high quality acts from local, national and global presences. The Tinfoil Hat Brigade, Comptroller, Cerebral Scars, BSK and Maru!
