Any pedal power 9v power will work, sync modes should work fine with your lsdj version and unless your modern midi device has five pin midi it won't work with any aboy.

Well that's reasonable. The thesis is weird though.

Ok Im going to ask some philosophical questions about this because I am genuinely curious. (Although Im assuming you wont see me because im a preset)
but here it goes.
Do you often visit places where you actively want to ignore people who genuinely post a big chunk of the content? Wouldn't that be a little jarring to read threads that have parts missing from the conversation?
Danimal Cannon? Ilkae? Really? What do they ever do to anyone?
I totally get some of the people on the list, myself included. We are opinionated, sometimes we are wrong, sometimes we are dicks but having those two on your lists makes me wonder what it is you are trying to get from coming here. I understand the root of your desire to block people but coding an entire script just to imply HEY THESE PEOPLE ARE DICKS AND NEED TO STFU is kind of passive aggressive don't you think?
I don't agree with everyone but learning how to basically self filter people you don't want to see or read is an important part of internet citizenry, so perhaps this thread would be better if you just told people your feelings rather start trouble with people via source code.
ps: dnt post weekend etc

Maybe try slice the nsf render into bars and snap them to grid? That way any tempo drift isnt culmative.
I dont like timestretching audio cause there is always some artifacts. Try the grid thing, its also pretty useful for human drummers who cant play to a click. You can even use the rendered nes audio to make a tempo map, and then your effects and midi will be as loosey goosey as the nes track!

Fair enough. I think "semi-irresponsible" is harsh, though.
Glad I added the modifier then !

Yea thats why I tempered the whole "in my experience angle". I spent the first 20 years of my life dealing with tapes as a terrible recording medium and im more than happy to see it die, but i feel that using prosumer equipment doesn't really add any mojo specifically, and telling impressionable people that is does is semi irresponsible I think. This is coming from a dude whos entire first 5 years of music was recorded on a 424 mk II.
Ive done everything with tape, from spliced cassette tape, and edits on 2 inch tape going through fancy mixing consoles, so im trying to talk a little less out of my ass than usual here.

every tape recorder is a good tape recorder
No way!
In my experience, thick tape is nice, cassette tape is mostly garbage (but tracking to cassette in realtime sounds way nicer than commercial tapes which where burnt using super high speed dub) and most of what people hear as warmth on consumer cassettes is mild analog clipping and the huge noise floor muffing up the definition on higher pitch sounds.

Why do you push the better sounding r2r down to that prosumer dictation recorder? Any analog mojo from the first has to be wiped out by the generation lost artifacts of the later?
