Hey all! I'm releasing my second Game Boy dubstep/electrohouse EP! This one's been in the works for ~2 years so I'm glad to finally have it out there.

It's also my first physical release! It's on cassette tape and source files on floppy!

So yeah, have at it!

My friend and I made brutal death metal/ deathcore/black metal stuff that used lsdj.
We only managed to record one song before he went to jail, but we'll be putting out more stuff later this year when he gets out.
My server's down atm but I'll edit with a link this weekend hopefully.

No one's been able to figure it out. Every chiptune is actually FL Studio fakebit.

First choice: Linux wink
Second choice: Android

I've jumped around distros before, but I've settled on Arch Linux. Its deliciously lightweight and super customizable.

Me too :3
I gave Gentoo a shot but compiling everything was too much for me. I'll give it another shot when I have a powerful desktop.

@irrlichtproject, if you have synaptic package manager, lmms installs fully through it.
lmms has ALWAYS been native to lmms, you just have to compile it.

lmms has ALWAYS used wine, you just need to check your facts:
https://packages.debian.org/sid/lmms

https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/wiki/Compiling-lmms

Wine is only an optional dependency (probably only used for VST support is my guess), so you should be able to compile it without it.

@Domu I often suggest/install Linux Mint Debian Edition for others. The Cinnamon/Mate desktop environment that Mint has is great for those coming from Windows. I suggest the Debian edition because it is a rolling release distro.

Protrekkr and Bitwig Studio have been my favorites recently.

what are the possibilities with a thin client?

Whatever you want, linux is magic dawg.
Like you mentioned, there's plenty of trackers out there as well as GB/NES stuff available.
Personally, I would start with a basic Debian netinstall that boots into a dialog window where you can select what music program to use.
I've wanted to do something like this for a while, if I get around to it I'll post it in here.

I have Arch on my netbook (Asus 1001PX), but it might be a bit much if you aren't too well versed with Linux.
Xubuntu or Crunchbang would be good choices. Both are fairly lightweight compared to Bloatbuntu.

As for netbook-friendly trackers... Milkytracker, Klystrack, Deflemask, LSDJ (in an emulator such as Gambatte), LGPT, etc

I don't understand the need for some of the boards. For example, the "Creative Commons" board. wut. Did you maybe mean "Constructive Criticism"? Others could also probably be better organized/consolidated.
It'd just be a shame for this to be one of those imageboards with more boards than posters.
