Sorry for the potentially silly question but, where would I start looking to edit the code to change the midi channels of the respective LSDJ channels (i.e. changing PU1 and PU2 to send data to midi channel 4 and WAV to midi channel 6 or whatever). I'm hoping it's as easy as changing a few variables but I poked around Mode_LSDJ_Midiout and was having a hard time finding it. Thanks in advance!

If there is some demand, I can try to make a real MIDI-adaptor with the same functionality as the USB version.

I think there would be great demand for this! I would definitely pick one up. That's the only thing would stop me from picking one up right now tbh

To put it simply We Love CultureFix. It's hard to define exactly what it is - From tapas bar to artspace to musical venue, CultureFix has been a beacon in the Lower East Side for creativity, hosting acts ranging from classical music to comedy to experimental audiovisual pieces. Importantly, it has also been one of the places willing to take a chance on chipmusic in recent years. Cole Shaffer and Ari Stern, the proprietors, have been extremely supportive of experimental music, hosting CDM's HandMade Music events and giving experimental artists a chance to express themselves in a welcoming, accepting space.

Recently, Culturefix was hit pretty hard by Hurricane Sandy. Due to loss of power and event cancellations as a result of the storm, the venue took a significant financial hit, to the tune of nearly $20,000. As frequent patrons of CultureFix, we feel like the least we can do is give a little something back to this place that was so accepting and helped us to hone our craft, and where we've made so many fond memories.

To this end, we'd like to announce Fix CultureFix: a Lo-bit Fundraiser.

December 14th, 7-11pm
FREEEEEE , 21+

Appearing at Fix CultureFix will be:

Kris Keyser
exileFaker
Note!
L-Tron
Batsly Adams

The artists have also graciously donated some fun stuff that will be raffled off, with the proceeds to benefit CultureFix as well. This includes (but is not limited to):

One backlit prosounded Game Boy modded by Kris Keyser
One LSDJ cartridge containing save data from the acts playing the benefit
One Super Gameboy 2 owned by Note!
A USB Flash Drive containing MYSTERIOUS CONTENTS FROM BEYOND THE BEYOND (probably more sav data, exclusive tracks, etc)
...and more!

Come out and support the arts and general awesomeness in the LES!

nitro has a great little tutorial on syncing by creating a click instrument in LSDJ. LSDJ Master-slave sync does not work since it doesn't put out a pulse-clock but if you set your LSDJ to nanoloop sync, hack up a sync cable and divide the resulting pulse-clock (Nanoloop syncs via pulse clock), you can get LSDJ-Monotribe sync via the link cable. I believe Nanoloop sync is 12ppqn so divide as is necessary.

Don't know about MML but the gameboy hardware can use one channel for limited sample playback.

Also

Ok. MML, that's good to know. But still, you are trying to create an orch hit in the noise channel? That's like asking how to get CMYK out of a #2 pencil er something. Better just sample that man. You'll end up wasting too many channels on it.

This is a very confusing question.

With zero lag it would be exactly what I was looking for. Lemme know if you make any headway! Also, it seems 8GB has a performer page on FLxERs site. Paging 8GB!

If I only want MIDI-IN, can I ignore the opto isol and the rest of the MIDI-OUT portion of the circuit? I don't have an opto isol on hand and was going to breadboard an arduinobuddy this morning. Thnks!

Anybody have any experience using FLxER? It seemed to me like a great, inexpensive way to try out a few ideas I had regarding LSDJ triggering visuals (using the latest LSDJ arduinoboy rom) via MIDI but I'm running into a ton of latency issues. I've also tried out FLxER with a dinky MIDI controller and it seems the latency issues are still present. So anybody have any successes with FLxER? I would love to be able to start experimenting with this further but the lag is intense.

And I know this isn't 100% chip but if y'all had any ideas, it would be much appreciated. Or other ideas concerning other free/cheap VJ software that takes .gif, .swf and are MIDI compatible? Cheerrrs!
