I'm spending the rest of the month tweaking and finishing my album.

My favorite synth I've ever had was a Moog Prodigy. It kept breaking though, and I sold it. Too much of a pain to maintain.
I have a Roland Juno-60 that I love love love.
I have a Moog Little Phatty (purchased as a replacement for my Prodigy) that sounds nice, but I've never really felt a strong connection with it. I might sell it and get a Korg MS-20 Mini when they come out, if the build/sound quality is good.
Super Jelly of Kitsch's soviet synth collection. Always wanted to get into those.
MAVS! Everybody download this now.
I wanna do a show with those guys again...
Yeah, this was a ton of fun. I still see lasers when I close my eyes.
I have car snacks and extra batteries! Ready to hit the road!
I think you see a lot of unfinished/WIP/experimental stuff in chip is simply because the bar for entry is very low. Gameboys are cheap, many of the programs you use to compose chip are free, and since it is mostly electronic, you don't even have to know how to play an instrument to start.
On top of all that, this is a forum for chipmusicians, so people upload tracks to get criticism or just to see what their fellow artists think about an idea or track.
Your best bet for quality control is to stick with people's official releases (EPs and albums).
Not sure about other people but I literally spend months just tweaking a release to make sure the quality is as high as I can muster. Whether I succeed in producing quality music is another matter...
5 months to get pumped!
Also, Al's rules! Greasy burgers ftw! And super nice bartenders!
This is pretty random, haha.
Sherlock (The awesome British TV series) is on Netflix instant.
I'll be there!
...obviously, I guess. Looking forward to hanging out with egr, shitbird, those saucy dream fox chaps, and the Whole Lex Crew. Rumor has it AndaruGO is doing visuals. Should be a good time!
I just want a damn .lsdsng editor for PC. And no, not running LSDJ in an emulator. I'd love for a PC version of LSDJ that was similar to Famitracker, had the same interface and features of LSDJ but allowed full use of the entire keyboard and mouse, and exporting tracks as .GB files or .GBS files, importing / exporting midi, and the ability to still use the .lsdsng's made with this program on an actual flash cart with LSDJ. This is never going to happen, but it would be pretty nice.
You just described my dream... I track LSDJ in an emulator a lot and then dump onto carts for recording/live usage, and I'd love a "PC-enabled" LSDJ.
That track is BOSS. Great job!
If you want to record them at the same time, you'll need a mixer. The Behringer 502 is a popular bare-bones mixer. http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-502-XEN B000J5UEGQ
Use two 1/8 to 1/4 stereo splitter cables to plug in to the mixer. http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-CMP153-Cable ereo+cable
Otherwise, record them separately. Use a count-in click track (like 4 hi-hat hits) at the beginning of both and zoom way, way in with audacity and line them up exactly. Don't have one set to slave, just record the two DMGs completely independently with the count-in.
What you've done doesn't sound bad, per se, but the panning is a bit odd and things feel a bit disconnected.
Like these guys, I just make it sound good in LSDJ and record it all in as one track. I EQ it a bit to boost the bass/kick and boost the highs a bit to make the snares and hi-hats sound a bit crisper. Sometimes I add an tiny amount of reverb (like the wet mix is at -19 db...you can barely tell it's there--this seems to make the kick drum/snare have a little more stereo space.)
You might want to use a notch filter to get rid of the DMG whine. Victory Road says it's around 9.25k, and a notch filter at that frequency works for me as well.
If I were to record anything separately, it would probably be just to isolate the kick and add some EQ/compression to it individually.

Hope this helps!
I'd like to add a budget DJ Mixer with more options:
$230 New
2 inputs, 1 mic input
beat-syncable effects available on inputs and mic input
USB output
I've run a 3rd gameboy, guitar via DI box, and synth through the mic input, basically gives you a 3-channel DJ mixer with effects. The USB output kinda sucks but the main output is pretty quiet. Effects are decent and the faders are OK. For the price, what it does is good.
A couple of us are working behind-the-scenes on this! (That being Sugar Sk*_*lls, myself, and Brandon Hood of Chip=Win). I think Sugar Sk*_*lls is still talking to the venue about dates. We were looking at April, but I wouldn't have a problem with the end of March. We're working on a tentative lineup, etc., but I'm sure more help would be welcome, since Sugar Sk*_*lls is the only one of us actually local to Nashville. (I'm 2 hours south in Huntsville).

Whoa. 4 months ago in this thread I said "Disco.txt" would be out in October.
I'm thinking March, haha.
