Oh, I meant his debut LP. I'm already familiar with "Emptiness Meets Happiness", which is quite good as well. smile

Lovely work! Your tunes are quite sweet and thoughtful, with great melodies and dance-floor beats. I especially like "Happiness Like This" and "Lemonade". You've crafted a very solid debut... keep up the good work, man!

Hey Feryl, if you liked this, you'll be happy to know this is NOT Bubu's debut!  He's pretty popular outside of CM.org (tons of soundcloud followers, etc.).  He just doesn't promote his music or interact with this board.  He's a super cool guy though.

If you liked this, I really recommend checking out "Emptiness Meets Happiness"

Bubu is pretty awesome.

How did I miss this?  Going to listen now!

You want the LSDJ manager.  http://code.google.com/p/lsdmanager/

Let's you add and remove individual songs from a .sav as you please.  Super useful.

Full disclosure: I never had the means to travel to NY to attend a Blip.

It seems like the biggest (short-term?) loss here is that it will take time before another organization is in-place with the ability to pull in foreign artists, right?  I assume Blip was able to arrange airfare and/or monetary aid for foreign headliners.  Might be less opportunity for that for a few years.

Anyway, I guess I'll see more of you guys in Lexington in 2013?

I'm sure there will be a new fest that'll rise out of the woodwork.

I heard brkfest was good, I don't know how successful it was in terms of revenue however

BRKfest was a lot of fun.  I don't know how it did in terms of revenue, but I am pretty sure the BRKfest team is planning another one for next year.

I can't believe I never posted in this thread!  This is definitely in my top 5 chip releases. Soooooo good.

4. Andrew WK - I Get Wet

Hahaha, awesome.  This is random, but I sang "Party Hard" onstage with Andrew WK in 2002, hahahahaha.  Good times.

Just wanted to say I LOVE those albums and I'm glad someone mentioned them.  Black Foliage especially.  You listen to it all the way through and you seriously feel different at the end.  You wake up.

Hahahahah.  I've been nearly exlcusively making electronic music for two years and almost none of my favorite albums are strictly electronic.

The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society
Neutral Milk Hotel - On an Aeroplane Over the Sea
The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
Weezer - Pinkerton
Spoon - Girls Can Tell
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
The Beatles - The White Album
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
The Clash - London Calling
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Talking Heads - Remain in Light
Radiohead - OK Computer
Bit Shifter - The Information Chase
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Sly and the Family Stone - There's a Riot Going On

[edit - crap!  that's sixteen...consider Sly honorable mention  I guess]
