So, so pretty.

Have you ever tried to turn your short stories into concept albums?
This is a great practice... working on the album helps your story progress naturally, and visa versa! A lot is revealed as you try to relate music to your plots/story's emotions.
Hey! That's a really cool idea. I'm going to have to try that.
This thread is more interesting than past "job/major" threads.
I have an MFA in Fiction Writing, hahahahaha.
I got a job as a technical writer (I write marketing material, proposals, press releases, the occasional instructional document, website text, etc.)
The downside to writing for a living is that I don't write for pleasure anymore. I write crap all day and usually have little interest in writing when I get home. After grad school I turned to music as my creative outlet instead. I've done NaNoWriMo for shiggles but I used to really like writing short stories. I am creatively satisfied by my music projects, though!
Oh god. Galaxy Wolf. Shit.
Dat lineup. Wish I had the funds to go!
Try to do a live stream!
This tour is totally rad and all, but I notice it doesn't include Northern Alabama or Nashville. Do a Danimal Cannon Totally Grits Southern Tour!
Roboctopus - Disco.txt
This is two weeks away!
Should we have a roll call thread or something? Is that a thing people do?
I'm excited.
I just now found out about Jag Floral-X
Seriously super fantastic.
So is this strictly an open mic?
I know people like open mic as part of chip, but I definitely think you should have time for people to play full sets. A lot of out-of-town people might not drive a long way to just get to play for five-ten minutes, and there are lots of artists in the midwest that I'd like to hear play for more than ten minutes.
I typed "Bit Sh" into facebook and it suggested "Bit Shitter".
The Information Chase is what got me to buy a cart, transferer thingy, and LSDJ in 2006. It's still solid gold. It will be solid gold forever.
Bit Shitter forever.
EDIT: While I'm at it, I'm going to go ahead and say that even though everyone talks about "hexidecimal" and "reformat", the best track is totally "The Information Chase". That outro is etched into my soul.
This is really good.
I especially like "The Captain is Dead and So Are We"
Bought!
Rad!
I trust you'll play some of these at BRKfest?
Well, It appears I'm planning a roadtrip!
Haha, yeah, I was immediately google mapping to see how long of a drive it was.
Niiiiiiiiice! I'm definitely going to get a 7" of this.
Also, the tracks posted were done on the older version of LSDJ, with the murkier sample play back. I have not tried the newer version with the cleaner sample play back, but I really like that fuzzy sample sound, tbh.
