a great music
which NAMCO do you like and dislike?
i kind of don't like SAMPLINGMASTERS! die ridge racer
i don't like LindaAI-CUE! die nu-metal/breakcore/chiptune music
ridge racer type 4 is the only ridge racer game worth listening to
i like asuka sakai, yu miyake (!!!!), yuri misumi, yoshihito yano, eriko imura (?!?!), hiroshi okubo (mostly), and it turns out i really like yuji masubuchi and masako ohgami sometimes too
i like "sexy the cat" even if (s)he is just a patch on someone's sampler
let's talk about music of NAMCO
composition is 10% inspiration, 90% hardware compressors
one day composing, nine days converting to mp3
sounds about right
how do you use a tracker on a machine with no keyboard?
i don't have an ipod/phone/pad but i think something like nanoloop/things with a step sequencer will be the best in terms of the interface
hey i am sorry if i came across as "people are only here while 8bc is down", but really i think 8bc.org is at least as relevant to the 'chip scene' as many other things posted here. it's just a discussion about something which a lot of us have an interest in, it was not intended to restart the 8bc vs chipmusic war for the millionth time.
anyway, it seems like no one really knows what happened to 8bc. i read on facebook that jose had accidentally deleted part of the database, but i'm not sure how true that is.
i hope it's back up soon

hey if legitimate music costs money i'd like to stay illegitimate for ever
it's pretty hard to believe i just read a thread with a backlash against FREE MUSIC
i'm sorry i forgot the question mark
i'm not sorry about the capital letters or the full stops
i hope 8bc gets better soon so i can leave you in peace
does anyone know what happened to 8bc?
plainflavored deserves to play blip festival
all of those were free
multiply these by twenty to get the download figures of a proper chip-musician
yes i will help with the audio parts because i made some audio bleeper bloppers before
but i never made an visual interface before so i will probably get stuck here
cool it looks great! i am glad you had fun! :D:D:D:D decktonic for blip fest 20xx
here's the OPL3 Inside dell desktop and a yamaha keyboard
out of shot is the bbc micro, spectrum +3, gameboys and some guitars (but i rarely use that stuff) and the laptop (which i use all the time, but i took this picture with the built in webcam)
oh
i put in a bid (apparently the only bid) on a website called "ioffer" and got it for next-to-nothing
