Topic: Yamaha YMF724 (3 replies, posted in Other Vintage Computers & Consoles)

I bought the Yamaha "thunder" YMF724 soundcard.

It's PCI and has an OPL3 on it (there are not many cards like this), meaning you can put it in a modern PC and don't need to buy an old one. IT'S GREAT!

you should also buy this soundcard

would using the thing nitro2k01 made (i forgot the name) help?

if i am not mistaken it reprograms the flash cart when you save a song rather than saving it to sram so you won't have to worry about overwriting the sram
