If you do plan on getting a Mac Mini new, I do suggest getting one with an i7 Intel processor with no extras. You can upgrade the RAM and add a 2nd HDD/SSD yourself for much cheaper. Prior to upgrading the RAM, make sure you get the correct "type."

What is the max amount of ram the mini can take? And number of slots for the ram.
LG makes a killer display, as does samsung. You can also use an iMac as a thunderbolt driven display if you want the newer laminate style.
I would honestly go for a regular display over a thunderbolt one as it's more versatile. Plus like 1/3 the cost
2012 models 16GB, 2x 8GB sticks.
2010-2011 are reported to take the same amount as well.

I have a late 2011 15" MBP that I added a 240GB SSD + 720GBHDD (2nd Drive) and 16GB of RAM and it works beautifully. I purchased it right before the retinas came out and wanted it specifically so that I could upgrade it myself.
It's been a beast since I purchased it and use it mostly for video editing. It runs on an i7 processor (4+4 cores).

What I really appreciate about Korg M01D is that the interface that is used on the touch screen is very useable with the 3DS/2DS screens. I have Rhythm Core Alpha 2 and the interface is really small on the standard size touch screen and should really be used on the 3DS XL.

Purchased it an hour ago. The interface and layout is very intuitive. The simplicity it its design makes it a beautiful program... for me at least. I love it.

Awesome! I'm having a bit of trouble finding a XP iso that is still actively seeded... Which version of XP should I go with?
Any Windows OS with 32-bit will do the job.

Which ones are the USB Smart Carts?
EMS?
Smartboy?
I have a 2011 MBP w/ Mountain Lion and I run Windows XP on "Parallels Desktop" whenever I need to transfer SAVs and ROMs from my flash carts to my computer.
