Kitsch, I think it'd be a fantastic idea if you sold SNES colored buttons.  I have a gameboy myself that has some SNES buttons from a broken controller, and it can be a pain to get the plastic tabs cut down to the right size.  But it was worth it because it looks great!  Vile, you're right about the recessed buttons being desirable too.  If these become available, whether it be through you, Vile, or through Kitsch's store, I'd be more than willing to buy some.  I think Kitsch's idea of buying in bulk from him may be best because 1. people will be assured no working controllers were destroyed to make their gameboy prettier and 2. they'll be shiny and new!

It's pretty bizarre no one bid.  You could get more, man.

Are they a bunch of broken controllers?  Otherwise I'd say don't destroy them.

Use both.

Agreed.  Both do great things.  My go-to is LSDJ, but, especially with the release of the cheaper nanoloop 1.6, you may as well try it out.  2.x is different and can achieve different sounds, but is over twice as much.  In my opinion, you can't ever have too many tools in your arsenal.

I bought it as a Christmas present, so it has been in heavy playing rotation lately. We finished it just a couple days ago. smile

Nice!  It's best to just go for it with that one, as it only seems to go up in price.  I finally grabbed one up myself and am planning to play through it soon.  I played through most of the game on a friend's cartridge at one point, but the darn thing erased my save near the end.  I was so discouraged that I couldn't pick it up again right away, but I think I'm finally ready.  smile

My boyfriend and I live/make music together, and we just rearranged our room yesterday in an attempt to make it more "studio-friendly." Here is a fake panorama of our studio side. What you can't see is 1) our Moog Etherwave Plus (though you can kind of make out the pitch antenna) and 2) our crappy bell kit, both of which are behind the monitor.

Bigger version for detail.

Is one of you playing Earthbound, or was that just there for the picture? tongue  Great game.

I had never heard of the Shruthi 1.  After some research, I found it sounds amazing.  How did you obtain yours?  Did you buy it preassembled or as a kit?  Also, there seem to be many board choices.  Which did you choose, and was there a reason why?

Good things come to those who wait.

What are you hoping to do with it that you want multi saves?

Hooray for final PCBs!

When you purchase LSDJ, you get a login and password to access the directories on the LSDJ website, and you will be able to download the version you need.

I bought a 3rd party GBA SP headphone adapter, and it works just fine.  I bought mine on ebay.  Kitsch sometimes sells them on his site, but I don't think he has any stock right now.

I don't know if I'd start modding with the SP.  It has very little space in the case and is therefore a little tougher to mod successfully.  The newer SPs have a brighter light, but unfortunately the NES model is not one of them.  If you really feel like modding it though, go for it.  Modding is fun.  I just wouldn't recommend starting with one that you will be really upset if you mess something up.

I can't wait to try this!

You know, this is an interesting topic to bring up.  I've always found it easier to record line in, but you could get some interesting sounds by mic-ing up an amp, or even mic-ing a room with a speaker at one end.  It could sound cool.  I might try it.  As for mic-ing the speaker on the Gameboy, I probably wouldn't do it for much because it's not a good speaker.

I'm glad this is happening.
