Re: Camp A Low Hum I also heard Bit Shifters name mentioned although talked to Josh on IRC about it a while back and he obviously had no idea

I am still going to try and get something happening at next years camp even if it is just workshops or something... Gigs can happen in Brisbane any time as well if you let me know I will slot you in big_smile

The fifth Pocket Music.. All Brisbane Artists.. Free Entry.. Free Games... Killer Music
Poster by Simon Cottee

Potato Masta: - 8PM
A Brisbane based Japanese musician with eclectic tastes of everything from dancehall to karaoke classics. At pocket music he will be bringing a tailored set of chip, 8bit and videogame inspired tunes for you to party and get crazy to. He has previously collaborated a number of times with chip legend Cow'P.

VGX: - 9PM
Makes dance music that is hard to believe is produced using hardware that is almost as old as he is. In his hands the gameboy becomes a dancefloor assault weapon, it's justice meets nintendo.

Dot.AY: - 10PM
Has been developing an overwhelming dark and deep bass sound from his gameboys. Forget chiptunes being about happy cheery melodies Dot.AY delivers a tongue in cheek dank and gritty music experience, it's cute and aggressive, brutal and for the lulz.

Facebook Event

Also Next Wednesday 4th August between 6-7pm (AEST) vgx will be on 4zzzfm show Zed Games talking chip music and playing a track live on air worth checking out (you can stream here )

I am considering one of these I know 10k has one... much hardier than most and a 5year warranty also kinda light which is something to think about

Currently I have some Ashton thing that is basically a Xenyx clone it works but is shit

Event Opals ... Want if I was made of money ... drool

I have shit box Behringer Truths that I got second hand 5years ago... they work... and without a room with proper acoustics there is no point spending money on something better
(I use HS50's on my desk at work and prefer them over Rockit's  .. I personally prefer the HS series over the KRK's, not just in sound but build quality/warranty etc etc for exactly the same price)

I started this for a project will prob keep it updated with all the things I do that don't fit on my other things (WEB 2.7 WOOAP)

Hunz has released one track from his new Chip EP and it is well worth a listen.

“Level 3 – Boy Walks Girl to Work and is Followed by a Ghost”

Also you will be able to hear him talk about it on 4zzz Radio the night before the gig (30th of June) from 6PM (UTC + 10) on ZEDGAMES.

Tune in if you can and I for one can't wait for .hnz to release this thing

The fourth Pocket Music is delivering an amazing thing in that the indie-electronic artist (who uses renoise and has ties to Australian Demoscene) has gone back to writing Chipmusic specifically for this event.. That artist Hunz is well known in the renoise community and is an amazingly talented artist. To coincide with this concert Hunz will also be releasing a 7 track chip EP the details of which will be coming soon.

On top of this videogame composer and an original stalwart in the Australian chip scene Collapsicon will be dropping some sega bass and gameboy beats.. Oh and I will be there

super super excited about this one

Where are both Turtle and Nestrogen.. It appears "Haters gonna Hate", which is my new favourite 10k song, was written specifically for them!

"Aw Nah fuck it I fuckin love it"
