my only complaint thus far is that when changing numeric values like tempo or whatever it tends to be overly sensitive. I have to go back and forth often missing the exact value that I actually want. Maybe slow it down a little?

It does seem kind of sensitive. I had trouble placing notes because it'd scroll down too fast. Also deleting notes is a little weird. And I almost have to hold start for it to start playing.

I'm sure these things will be calibrated better as development continues. Speaking of which, who is developing this? It's good to see other GBA trackers emerging since M4G seems... dead.

I hope people aren't that lazy.

It lists the names, but at least you have to click on the song first. I consider it a "best of both worlds" sort of thing.

What is this Famitracker/LSDJ challenge? I would love to hear some other trackers being used and in fact, I encourage more tracker diversity!

Also about the anonymous thing, I'd rather keep it just so people can't just see a name and vote for a song without listening to it. I don't want someone to spamvote for one artist.

Another thing, try not to upload your tracks right away. At least try and wait until voting is over hmm it gives people an incentive to check out the other tracks and vote.

But.... May 14th 2001 already happened. Almost 10 years ago.

When don't you put your state and zip code? 0_o

What's wrong with MilkyTracker? She's a fine vessel.

Just wondering. I'd love to be able to sync MilkyTracker to other things via MIDI.

I like that album idea. I'll definitely keep it in mind. :S I don't have a ton of time on my hands so it could be quite a hassle.

I'm also working on starting up other projects here and there as I'm getting bored of what I'm doing musically.

BWC#6 is set for launch! Voting is still on for BWC#5.

MAKE SURE TO VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked that ??? guy. He made cool shit. I think he stopped, though.

I don't know how we'd incorporate pixel artists. I'll definitely keep doing the descriptive themes. You can thank Jredd for the last one wink

Holy shit! You guys really impressed me this week! smile great work everyone, it really warms my heart to see people submitting to this.

I see what you're saying! Sort of like the botb voting system. I would love to do something like that in the future, but I have no idea how we would implement it.

Steps to becoming a chip musician.

1. Learn some theory. You're not going to get very far if you know nothing about writing music. Also, it'll probably help if you learn how to use a tracker because there are tons of trackers for all sorts of systems out there.

2. Check all your options. Don't just focus on Gameboys. There's shit tons of ways to make chip music. There are also plenty of free ways to start writing. I'd suggest looking into free software first, that way you don't end up buying a gameboy and decide you don't like writing chip music. Stuff like MilkyTracker and FamiTracker are great for beginners and they're completely free.

3. Start writing and experiment. Try new styles, genres, tricks, etc. Also, try and get your hands on some files you can load up in your tracker/program of choice and take a look. I've learned a TON of stuff from studying various modules.
