Though I think it should be about the music, not the community.
The site is chip music after all, not chip community.

Just my opinion. No attacks pl0x.

That's the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. Without the community there'd be no music.

Chipmusic was about the community in the first place!!

If you don't like the way chipmusic's music system is, 8bc is still around.

The only thing I have a problem with is the whole pop-up thing. It's kinda weird, but I'll get used to it I suppose.

It seems like it just pops up wherever it wants to on my screen.

Oh, I'm derailing the thread.

I'll definitely give this a try tonight. Got nothin better to do!

DSi compatible?
because that would be the best ever.
ever.

DSi doesn't have a GBA slot. You'd definitely have to emulate GBA to do that or something.

tongue i'd just buy a cheap GBA from Gamestop or something. They sell them pretty cheap!

Oooh! I'll try this out on Firefox 3.5 tonight.

Glad to see it up so soon!

I know a few people who only listen to it.

G-Zom for sure only listens to chip-music.

Oh, and triangle waves are hella bangin'.

It's really boring.

The melody sounds like crap.

Could use some drums.

Give it some more variation.

No discussion of 8bc, EVER on chipmusic.

You should be beaten senselessly for such treachery!

TFM would be great if it did stuff OTHER than just FM. FM drums just suck.

It seems there are trackers that cover most stuff, but not all of it in one package.

I really don't "promote" myself to an audience. I really only show my music to my friends anymore.

As infradead said, this is really just a hobby! I don't plan on making a living out of making music on obsolete game consoles haha.

It's kind of nice to know I have friends who are interested in my music though and it's always nice of them to give me suggestions on what to change and fix and stuff! I think that's what I care most about, becoming a better musician.

EDIT: typos! OH NOEZ!!!!

I'm definitely gonna have a look at Musica.

Oh, and I remember looking at one chip MSX's before, they were like $500 or something. It was insane.

My vote is for the Fade Pattern Volume thing.

I like fade-in notes.

I've heard IT2SPC is a lot better than XM2SPC.

Also, a SNES Midibox really does seem like a pointless idea. No wonder it's a dead project.
