Make sure to respect the GNU General Public License and release the modified source code if you're selling the gameboy with arudinoboy code please. (I don't know if I missed it somewhere also I know it's not very modified but...)

To protect your rights, we need to prevent others from denying you these rights or asking you to surrender the rights. Therefore, you have certain responsibilities if you distribute copies of the software, or if you modify it: responsibilities to respect the freedom of others.

For example, if you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must pass on to the recipients the same freedoms that you received. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must show them these terms so they know their rights.

There is absolutely no reason for the text box to be black... Except for the fact the textarea has no specified background color. which by default should be white. Opera probably has a bug of some sort.

yeah, i was thinking for the large flyer, doing a randomized showing, but the thumbnails may work better, as long as they are large enough to not make my eyes implode from trying to make them out smile

It would have date, location, and small description and flier thumbnail on the front page, clicking the entry would of course take you to the event's page with a larger flier.

I like the idea, I just wonder what's going to determine which events get listed on the side of the page when a few large ones are coming up.  Maybe an algorithm that alternates them on each pageload? Or possibly some sort of targeting by location of user?

They would be in order of date, the sooner the event, the closer to the top of the list.

I personally don't like the idea... well at least the way I pictured it when I read the post... aka a big flier. Because there are alot of badly designed fliers out there that might not look so hot on the frontpage. However, there will be a events section, which could be on the front page, aka "Upcoming events..." with thumbnail sized fliers, might not be so bad.

I believe the timestamp is stored in a cookie. if you dont have the cookie / expired it wont show much new. I didn't program it so I'm not entirely sure.

i'm specifically looking to put my akai apc40 ableton controller in whatever case

I just use my laptop backpack now. fits my apc, laptop, gb, wires etc. carry it on the flight, no hassles (other than security checkpoints)
It's nice to have something that can be a backpack when everyone heads out to eat after the gig so you don't have loads to carry.

I used to use a flight case and a backpack when I had more live gear, thing is it was over complicated for little payback. Last gig with that setup was seattle, walking through the folklife crowd made my arms want to fall off. smile

Something like:

would be useful in my opinion. Since http://www.chipmusic.org/trash80/music already exists, I can't imagine it would be too hard to add a link to the profiles (maybe I'm wrong, though). smile

Except for that fact that entire page blows and needs to be redone. sighhhhh

esc no thats wrong (kind of), well you can bookmark a song, and they will be in the bookmarked songs list, there is another list for all artists that you've bookmarked, which may have a query error if you're seeing double songs.

yeah there are right now 6 default tags. I'll just expand it and increase the number of times a tag has to appear in order to be popular.

I would actually group that with circuit bending and rename circuit bending to
Homebrew Development & Circuit Bending

Or something along those lines, being that I can see a need for R&D as well a circuit bending, there is some cross talk like lowgain's projects, and neither are very popular, being that circuit bending only has 4 topics.

Back on topic, if it is planned to feature the latest uploads on the frontpage, I'd really love to see the double column design 8bc used to have, so uploaded tracks are "up" a second time.

I made that on 8bc. wink we'll see how it goes... right now i'm too busy with shows/real work/life to add much at the moment. (this month sucks)

I think expanding the list of preset tags could encourage people to use them more. I'd suggest a row for systems/format, one for mood descriptions and maybe one for popular genres.

It should just show the 10 most popular tags. which in theory will yield good results. maybe i should show the top 12-16 results.
