Depending on whether or not ride situation comes together, I would like to be at this show getting fucking crazy with you assholes.

playing with Dark Warriors was surreal, being a stand-in for someone else's band. I don't know how 2nd/3rd generation line ups of classic rock bands do it.

Glad to help out wizwars though smile

Like I said before, you were a member of the short lived (more like never existed, haha) project Save State, which is basically what became Dark Warriors. I always wanted to involve you in the band somehow and I'm glad that we had that opportunity, just sucks that it's because I had to miss Magfest.

I'm definitely proud of the job my boys did with the Dark Warriors set. My songs have never sounded that good before. Hopefully my stupid issues with anxiety and having to cancel haven't closed the door on any future possibilities of performing at Magfest.

I'll come out at some point and throw down some LSDJ pointers.

It is $2 to buy LSDJ. It takes almost no effort to download a free emulator, open up the sav file after you've purchased the insanely cheap rom, and make wav files if you so desire.

If you're not willing to put in this small amount of effort, why should someone else?

I know I'm being a dick, but come on. Nobody puts in effort for shit anymore.

Edit: Also Juan, I might mess with a song or two. But for the fuck of it I just started writing a chipthrash song on one of the template tracks, haha.

I'm not sure what about KoolSkull's original post is hard to grasp, he's said he's willing to learn and put in the work, I've known him awhile and he's a very talented dude, dedicated hard worker and a fast learner. From what I can tell he's just looking to see if someone that actually has experience coding for the Game Boy can help out with this idea or even point him in the right direction. Recommending other software is kind of redundant and off topic when the person is basically saying that they want to create a new tracker.

It's responses like the ones in this thread that stifle new ideas and creativity within the scene. "Why work on something new when you can just do this because it's easier".

More people download this. We were heavily inspired by Norrin Radd, Virt, Tim Follin, and Bun Bun while writing this shit. Some obvious nods to classic video games at point such as Batman, Master Blaster and Little Nemo, while others are just wanky rockin' tunes that we came up with based on our own ideas. I think it's definitely a good listen for fans of the more 'progressive' side of chip music.

Yeah it's awesome too. There is no more time limit on this so if anyone wants to take a shot at one go for it. GO FOR IT.

This is the second date on the LA "Chipthrash In The Library" Tour hosted by Koolskull and Datamoshpit, where local (and not so local) chip artists go around to various libraries in the Los Angeles area, playing music and doing chip tutorials.

I unfortunately cannot make it because I'm insane. My band will still be there playing my songs though. So the only thing missing will be a fat dude with a mini KP.

After writing these songs two and a half years ago, the debut EP from my side project with Simon "The Analog Kid" Andrews (a fellow chip artist who is massively underrated and unknown, and also the guitarist in my band Dark Warriors) has finally been released. ANALOG WIZARDS started off as an experiment for us to write songs inspired by various video games and ended up becoming an outlet for us to write progressive metal(ish) chiptunes with Modplug. I'm not sure that we'll ever write or release any more material, but I'm proud of this EP and happy to finally have these songs collected in one place.

This hasn't been talked about too much, but this, my first East Coast set since '08, is going to be extra special - I'll be joined by my band DARK WARRIORS: http://www.myspace.com/3darkwarriors (ugh, I know, myspace...)

Kind of a sad note, but the dude that did this stuff (ugetab) died recently.

Haha. I don't know much about the place, guess it's a punk / rock shop that has rehearsal and performance space. Hopefully it's awesome.

Come start New Years Eve right with some fine chip music (actually, I think Octafellasoul and The Ovals are punk bands, but whatever).
