For anyone who may be interested, here are videos of complete sets from Pizza And Chips 4 last month, including Virt, EvilWezil, myself, and nerdcore group Flying Fortress: http://www.rhythmcorealpha.com/tag/pizza-and-chips-4/

Lineup change. Mr Spastic unfortunately had to cancel. Taking his place and headlining the show, in his first performance since moving to the Los Angeles area...VIRT!

I know that KoolSkull is always at these Pizza and Chips shows with his laptop and he records the sets, I'd imagine if it were possible to stream he would do it because he streams every other show. Hell, maybe the others were streamed and I just didn't know about it. Not to sound like a n00b but I don't know shit about streaming shows, I assume it requires wifi? This is a tiny little pizza joint in a shopping plaza (and I mean TINY, which also means come early, because I think we're gonna reach capacity at this place), not sure if they have wifi or not.

So is the second DVD menu supposed to be incredibly frustrating to figure out, like using Nanoloop?

Seriously, I tried pushing left and right to select the top buttons and it didn't do shit. Finally had to type the number and press enter. If that's how you're supposed to do it, thats fairly stupid and cryptic.

Other than that, great set. Awesome extra content, and of course it's nice to see RTP again.

Last nights LA show was so rad. Kind of bummed that I'm not at the Meltdown comics show right now but shit happens.

Luke, hella sad I didn't get a chance to meet you. Don't actually remember seeing you after the show, I could only find Pete, and I ended up talking to him for 5-10 minutes.

for trash80 alone i would love to get out to los angeles. though i'd also love to see what this 'fresh talent' is wink

Including obvious and not so obvious names, we have:

Virt
Trash80
Mr. Spastic
8bitweapon
ComputeHer
EvilWezil
Wizwars
Wet Mango
WMX
Mike Bleeds
Rock Kandy
KoolSkull
The Silph Scope

Some obvious heavy hitters on this list, and check out any less obvious people you might not have heard of, you'll probably be surprised.

LA has a fair amount of chip talent, nowhere near the level of the East Coast but enough to put on some fucking sweet shows, which we're working on doing. Just need organization. Considering that Nullsleep himself said that LA was one of his favorite shows of the tour he just did, I think it can be said that the LA chip scene and fans are ready to fucking bring it.

I just hope that with the growing LA chip scene, a Blip Fest Los Angeles is someday possible. I was recently surprised at the amount of fresh talent we have out here that could easily represent.

I shall be at the show tomorrow night. Quite looking forward to it.

Hmmm...that's kind of cool. I'm going to be on the East Coast this winter and half of the reason for that was Blip Fest. But since I'll be in the Philly area, I guess I'll just have to plan my trip around 8static or something.

With any luck I will have just moved to Arizona by May 2011, so I'll probably be listening to the Blip webstream...again...

Does anybody know what the conflict here was? As far as I can tell, he was on public property.

I guess it depends on the place, but just because it is "public property" doesn't mean that someone can come out and do exactly whatever they want there. I guess technically playing loud music in a public place can be considered disturbing the peace or some shit. I know that in most of the cities here in the LA area, if you want to do a performance like this where you're playing music with an amplifier in a public place, you pretty much have to have a permit. They're usually fairly cheap too. You can get a permit in the city of Santa Monica that allows you to do public performances that only costs around $40, and is valid for a year. If you're smart about it, you can make that money back in one performance with a donations jar and a stack of CDs.

I'm 150% sure that this show is going to be amazing. Guess this also clears up the direction message I sent you just now about what time the show starts.

Btw, can you possibly hit me up with a high rez version of that flyer at [email protected]?

Is someone who doesn't know anything about LSDJ going to really get much out of looking at other peoples .savs though? When I was first writing music with LSDJ, I cared more about reading the manual and figuring out what everything did before looking at other peoples songs, because it confused me without having a bit of context. I think sites like this are actually more useful for teaching people who already know a bit about LSDJ different tricks and stuff like that. Just my opinion though.

I really like the idea of this site. I also like that you have to upload before you can download. Encourages SHARING.

I'll be uploading a few more of my songs soon.

If I wasn't playing a show in Vegas that night, I'd totally be all over that shit.
