I just want a damn .lsdsng editor for PC. And no, not running LSDJ in an emulator. I'd love for a PC version of LSDJ that was similar to Famitracker, had the same interface and features of LSDJ but allowed full use of the entire keyboard and mouse, and exporting tracks as .GB files or .GBS files, importing / exporting midi, and the ability to still use the .lsdsng's made with this program on an actual flash cart with LSDJ. This is never going to happen, but it would be pretty nice.

No matter what picture I try to do this with, the wordpad method does not work. The file will not open.

Because of this thread I started messing around with the Audacity method and it's somewhat fun, but it also reminded me that you can make some amazing sounds by importing random files into sound editors, which in my mind can be much cooler than Databending, haha.

I want a 3X but I'm broke as shit. These are beautiful tho.

I've been putting off updating because I haven't felt like patching another LSDJ rom with all of my samples (all of the banks are full with custom kits). But I guess it's finally time.

This is awesome! With the ability to easily change the sample, this could easily become a very useful tool live.

Am I insane or does the rom have none of the functionality listed in that post?

I fucking love you.

I have the biggest titties in the chiptune scene and I am also fond of penises some of the time. I am, however, all man.

My post was more about relationships between established members of the scene than how newbies are treated...that's an entirely different area. I can say that when I was a newbie, I had nothing but positive experiences when meeting people who were "famous" within the scene. Everyone was super friendly, positive, and generally awesome to talk to. Because of that, I do my very best to keep that same thing going when talking to people who are new to the scene at shows and whatnot (though if you're an asshole I'm probably not going to give you the time of day, regardless of your status in the scene).

My basic point is, there aren't too many trolls in the real life, face to face chip scene, because that shit just generally isn't tolerated.

The Los Angeles community is becoming pretty awesome. There is a pretty good base of people who are super supportive, friendly, respectful and generally just want to play music and have a good time. It's difficult sometimes, though. The nature of LA in general is that everything is incredibly spread out and everyone is wrapped up in their own lives. This translates to the chip scene as well at times. It can be hard to get people to come out to shows simply because they're busy or it's not in their part of town. I'm even guilty of this now that I'm almost two hours from downtown LA via public transportation.

The amount of talent out here is fucking astounding. We're probably right behind New York City and Philadelphia with the amount of Blip Fest alumni residing out here (though Mr. Spastic recently left us). Despite this, the chip scene has mostly been restricted to warehouse parties and small art spaces that never last. With the Frequency chip music festival that myself and my friend Jesse from 1000 Needles run, we're definitely trying to step it up a bit and help put Los Angeles on the chipmusic map. The one we most recently did had the biggest turn out at any LA chip show I've ever been to that didn't have Anamanaguchi on the bill (around 120 people per night), which is definitely a step in the right direction.

Like most scenes, it's pretty awesome in real life, and for the most part total bullshit on the internet. It's too easy to be a smartass tough guy behind a keyboard and that makes people much more likely to say shit that would get them punched right in the mouth if they said it to someone's face.

Yeah my connection is with The Trunk Space. They're great peoples and I've played there a bunch of times.

Got a word in trying to set up the LA show and I can also most look likely set up your Phoenix show if you need help. I'm pretty good friends with one of the better venues out there

Are we still waiting for those specific examples? i can't believe that dood just promoted his upcoming release in this thread.
Wizwars is one of a kind, believe me.

Hahaha yeah, that's serious balls right there.
And definitely still waiting for those specific examples. I'm really interested to hear which melodies I changed one or two notes from, because that's a pretty big claim.
