Was chatting to cTrix the other day, turns out the 2600's TIA chip is a terribly atonal and hard-to-harness thing apparently. It's still totally possible to use for music, but incredibly tricky. I could only assume that being out of tune would cause problems with existing synced hardware with proper pitching.
It's be pretty cool for a noise set though!

2.5.4 isn't the latest, according to the cart I have, which shipped with 2.5.5... Is that even a thing yet?
(I fixed the problem by literally smashing button on startup and now the problem does't hang around anymore, though, so that's one question outta the way!)

Crunchy GB wav channel, smooth bassy GBA synthesis - this is what I'm planning for in the future for my next release thing.
Maybe the odd bit of Megadrive/Genesis FM as well, once I get the cash to get a midi kit from mr. scale

Topic: Nanoloop 2.5 Hanging at startup (5 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
This new NL 2.5 cart I got today has already bugged up on me... Whenever I start it up and press Start, a pause logo appears in the top right-hand corner, and a number 2 in the lower left. It just hangs forever.
The first time I switched it on it worked fine, then shut it off, restarted, and it's now dead.
I've got nothing on there I need to keep, and I heard formatting the memory is an option. How do I go about doing this?

my pocket never drained the backup battery! it only drained the actual gameboy's batteries - half an hour of working time in two AAA batteries.
