This.
except I live in Austin, which is almost like not living in Texas.
Also our weather is awesome. fuck the cold.

multiple years of studying classical and jazz guitar & bass, trained in basic piano skills, a bit of choir, was in rock bands all throughout high school.  Also made a lot, a lot of noise music during high school.  experimented with composing electronic music in other forms before chip, liked em but not as much (was using / studying Reason /Cubase in school. was doing solo effected keyboard / sampler stuff)

edit: also lots of shoegaze / sonic youth, punk listening

PUSSY.  BET YOUR GROOVE IS STILL ON 6/6.  MY LSDJ IS AT 1020 BPM RIGHT NOW.  OPTIMIZE YOUR BRUTALITY OR GTFO.

hah, based on the thread title I was going to come in here to commiserate and be all "I understand, it's been hard on me too."

while it's bullshit & frustrating that some hipster chick stole your artist name & kind of forced you to get a new one... I like Hotmessitization better.

And if it's pissing you off, frustrating you, or seeming to be a big deal/ make your life harder?  Then think about the endless train of bullshit involved with changing your actual name (like I did several months ago), and how many more people have to do that on a daily basis. (not to marginalize your situation or anything)

I don't really understand how the average chiptuner could use these musically, but i do really like seeing people try to make new musical uses for the GB.  seems like there are enough controls to it that someone could figure out how to use it though.

oh, there's also the "Laptop Battle" that I, Cactus, Mysterious H, and Random will be at! (am i right on this, connor?)

we'll have to sort out exactly when it's going down.  maybe it's the night of the 19th / morning of 20th?

COME WITH ME TO IT!!! It's on the 20th!!! stay in town!

so there are a couple shows besides Datapop chip people are playing at!

I know there is a house show w/ Talktoanimals, Unicorn Kid on Avenue C, and there are Depreciation Guild (@ Wave Rooftop) & Meneo (@ Spill, 20th) shows.  anybody else know of more?
