Don't limit yourself. You can do anything in any channel, it's just a matter of how hard you are willing to work to make it happen. That is why LSDJ artists can get away with sounding so different while using very very similar hardware.

4reals. you shouldn't limit yourself to anything, the channels on LSDJ are remarkably flexible.

my songs have snares made with a pulse channel mixed with some noise channel. noise kicks mixed up with pulse kicks. fuck it use the wav channel to make a high hat.

sorry sad

The Bonus Classic Dubstep samples sound more exciting!

I was meaning doing a live set on only a gameboy or two. No turntables.

Chip tune music doesnt mix well with other music. The kickdrum is so flat and melodies so bright. It just clashes.

you dont have to make chips tunes musics with flat kick drums. nor do you have to make chips tunes musics with melodies.

do what you want!

im sure you could drop a few decent lsdj techno traxxx into a techno set if you are feeling aprehensive about it.

depends what kinda techno you play i guess but most styles have probably been covered by chipmusics

goattracker stereo.

i find that improvising with friends on 'real' instruments is a great way to get ideas for starting more rigid/structured pieces of programmed chip music.

edit: real instruments are also synths & drum machines :)

Go nuts on lsdj wave channel, people often use frame movement as a way to trick the ear into thinking its filter movement.

This.

F command in tables or patterns to tell it what frame to play.

i probably have some far from perfect attempts/experiments in this sav file:

this release has a few far from perfect attempts/experiments:

or

you could always use an external filter hard panning instruments left and right?

it would entirely depend on the label...

how much creative freedom they give? I dislike people telling me what my music should sound like, if ya want something that sounds melodic and dancey, or more chippy go and ask some one who is good at that kinda thing Chipzel or Roboctopus or someone yo

deadlines/release schedules? I'm a very slow worker, I've been working on my next full chip release for 12 months now and only have like 4 songs completed for it. thats not to say that i havent made a lot of music but is has to fit the narative and tone that i want for the album.

is it some bullshit where they 'loan' you money for studio time & to make a promo and the money is taken back in earning from sales/merch/gigs and includes a relentless touring schedule?
