just make sure your song is as loud and overcompressed as possible so that its sounds really great on your mobile phone when you want everyone on the bus to hear your tunes.

the intro has some great sounds, thats a great kick drum.

but its a bit of a shame that it decends in to standard chip EDM.

aint fuffink rong with repetition but yeah swap that synth lead round a bit.

hahaha eugh that bass, was listening to something real quiet on soundcloud, then powwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bass attack!

yeah. you lose the stereo but you can always use a link cable to use a 2nd Game Boy.

i sync my gameboy to my monotribe using the pulse sync on the noise channel and an old Yamaha PSS-470 and bung it through some crappy zoom multi fx and a looping delay pedal. Great for jamming and improvising space grooves and lofi acid and several options for percussion and bass and whatever. I like to keep it nice and loose, and the PSS and the Game boy seem to have pretty solid timing, so fuck midi. I've got a CS1x as well but the timing on that is rubbish, it cant keep a solid tempo for more than a couple of bars without midi.

I really love my monotribe sync'd to the Game Boy.

it probably wont work on a standard c64 sad

i sometimes wish the game boy had more flexability with its sounds. being able to combine them more and fixed pitches, like you can on the c64 smile

but yeah mix stuff up more, make snairs with your pulse channel. mix pulse kicks with noise kicks. bass and melody on the wav channel. you'll stumble across more interesting sounds as a result as well.

all of my 2xlsdj stuff has had the main bulk of the tune written on one game boy and the second game boy is just a few bits of percussion or chords to complement the rest. just having a second wav channel is a massive bonus.

mine are called

the game boy with the guinea pig and hello kitty stickers on
the yellow one
the prosounded backlit pitch modded one
the one that mum's ex-boyfriend gave me that he found in his attic

its a nice track. real floaty space out shit.

i dont think that you need to draw attention to yourself by trying to draw people in with the silly fakebit argument.
