Your volume progression is not being smooth, so those are the "clicks" I believe.
Try using a table, too.

That was a table example.

edit: Also note that the clicks are there if you increment by one instead of two as well, sorry for the bad example.

the clicks are a "feature" !!... well I can't get rid of them, I also get a more noticeable clicking sound when it hits a 0 volume at some point in the table.

The only way to make them fit is to have your volume change increments in time with the amout of ticks that there are in your groove, so the clicks fit in with the beat.

I have the same issue with the L command, it never seems to bend notes how I want - I find it easier to use the P command and play with the vib. type if i want a nice Portamento effect.

somehow i managed to pick up loads of this stuff on vinyl in junk shops and charity shops in the 90s. Seems it wasnt so trendy then!

theres a fucking great modern acid scene as well, not heavy modern acid techno/trance, but stuff that sticks to the old school minimal feel like syntheme and chris moss acid. Oh and the mighty ceephax acid crew!

I'm going to be away from my studio all weekend (girlfriend's family stuff) so can I wait till I'm back next week to accept?

I'm not going to have the chance to play with sound now till Monday.

Throbbing Gristle
Cabaret Voltaire
23 Skidoo
early Human League

stuff like that... not all pure electronic... lots of tape loop stuff and synths with real instruments

Most people I know IRL who have massive studios and spend money on fancy gear don't ever use it.

Part of the beauty of this kinda music is that sexy hardware can be picked up nice n cheap.

tv adaptor? eh?

A simple RF cable is all you need, somewhere like Maplin should have them for less than a couple of quid.

all you need is the computer, the psu, a mouse, the RF cable and some software on a disk and you are ready to rock.

Unless you have your heart set on the basic A500, look out for the A500+ (comes with 1 meg rather than 1/2mag ram) the A600 (1 meg but doesnt have a number pad, the most portable) or the A1200 (AGA grafphics and 2 meg ram), they really shouldnt be much more expencive.

sorry if you know all this... :S

you really dont need a monitor, a TV works fine

Why do you need the monitor so bad?

Also try and get one with an HD.
