New Demo video from Detune. Sounds good.
Crud, It's been pushed back another month in Japan. It's still listed as an August release overseas. I'm hoping the translations are ready and Detune is just tweaking the app on the 3DS.
News Bump:
According to Detune's Site, the Japanese release should be this month (It's been delayed from May). Overseas release is August.
According to this article at Sliiconera:
KORG M01D will cost 3,000 yen ($30) and is slated for release in Japan this May as an eShop download. An overseas release for the West is scheduled for summer 2013.
Seems very reasonable when compared to the eBay prices for the M01 cart. Especially with the additions.
This hasn't stopped the guys over at r/3ds from complaining though.
Only 8 patterns is kind of a bummer. Seems surprisingly low?
Yeah, but it has MIDI In, so you should be able to trigger notes from an external sequencer if you want more patterns.
Yeah, that Drum Machine is like Korg went into my brain and pulled out exactly what I've been wanting to make for the last couple of years.
The Bass looks like an interesting take on the 303 type of bass module.
I wasn't impressed with the video I saw that demoed the Keys. After reading the specs, I think I'd like to see more videos the specifically demo the Keys and what it can do.
But for $150 each, it's an easy gamble to try out the Keys. I'm definitely pre-ordering the Drum Machine. That bad boy is going to be gone quick!

I think this got missed with all the Volca news.
M01D is a 3DS downloadable version of M01. It's supposed to hit Japan soon and Summer everywhere else.
I'll have to check the eShop more often.

Part 1 of Tettix's "Fake n Bake" series on YouTube. It focuses on Reason to make fake bit.
It's a three part series, FYI.
I'm interested. Will the number of channels be expandable? Is it going to be something like a Eurorack/FRAC style mixer modules that can be linked together?

So nobody has this working on a tablet?
Nanoloop works for me on my rooted Nook Color running Cyanogen Mod 7.0.3. The app goes full screen and runs well.
No worries.
It looks like he's 3/4 the way to the goal. It seems like it'll be funded in the next 44 days. I've been seeing more blog posts about it as well.
Hopefully you'll get your BC16. I read recently that they were shutting down, but from what I read, existing orders should be fulfilled.
As far as cases go, it depends on the board specs. I have always liked the Radio Shack enclosures for something quick and cheap. Hammond and Pactec cases are also nice. Maybe a PT-8 if the specs are right. You should be able to mount the board flush with the top of the enclosure, depending on what you choose to use.
Also, I posted on this a few days ago, though it seems no one picked up on the topic. It is nice to see more people are interested in the DIY synths on Kickstarter.
I came across this while browsing Kickstarter. It looks like an interesting project.

Interesting circuit bending info at about 4:00 minutes, It seems the drums have areas to add tone shaping.
