i'm quite aware, i can hear the difference between 1 and 2 lsdj instances in a song almost instantly. my problem is, my ideas almost always require more than the 4 instruments which LSDJ provides alone - for instance, i can't make a song with both pulsewaves running strong chords (arps just won't cut it in some instances), a WAV bass track, noise percs, and still have a strong lead and punchy pulse kicks going. believe me, i can put mucho hours into a composition in 1xlsdj and it will ALWAYS sound like something's missing, most prominently because i don't have enough instruments to handle heterophony and bass (for instance, see my track Xenon after 1:04).

this kind of amazing shit is the reason i want 2xlsdj

hahahahahahhahahahahahhahaha wow he made a typo holy crap what an IDIOT

(the joke is that he's not really an idiot and it's not a big deal or funny or anything)

i just thought the typo was hilarious, the sole thought of trying to put a gameboy cart in a virtualboy is fucking comedic

point taken, i can't make good percussion/song sequences for shit and i took a few tips for kicks and song structure on Engage.

Nice, have to say Engage is my favorite one of this, I know you released this prior to this release, but its awesome! Good job

why does everyone say engage is good? i literally spent 3 working hours on this, as opposed to the 5-10 hours everything else took on this release.

Try reading the sram off of the cart and opening that in virtual boy after you load up the rom. The rom image is lsdj, the songs are the save data.

My first full release. Includes 10 total tracks, some of which are free previous releases, and one hidden track which you can listen to upon purchasing the album. Mainly dance/house/whateveryouwouldgroupmymusicin tracks made in 1xLSDJ, but includes some other stuff too.

Give it a listen or even buy it (if you're generous) at my Bandcamp:

I think the problem is not having one place to view everything, but finding the gems amongst the flood.. it would be cool to track links and likes and have some sort of web metric social voting for the stuff you should try and check out.

so basically a totally-chip reddit.

let me see... 5 base tracks + 1 or 2 bonus tracks + 4 previous tracks = 10 song minimum. shit, it is an album.

honestly i'm just hoping people like it enough to just LISTEN to it, let alone buy it. i mean i look at the publicity i got from cm.o when i released Engage, i kind of wonder how it'll work out with a full release tbh, since this is just about my ONLY form of publicity.

the EP will also include a couple hidden tracks you can listen to after downloading the EP (i guess that makes it album size, doesn't it?)

Small clips from songs on my new EP "cyanidesky", due out this Memorial Day for a currently unset price (suggestions? i'm sort of broke here). This will be the first real EP I've ever released. I've been working hard on-and-off about 7 or 8 months on this.

EP will also include previous tracks "Engage", "Master of None", "Down to Earth", and "I'm Just a Nobody" from pre-EP releases. These tracks will be available for free.

LSDJ, game development, consistently self-doubting myself and refraining from violently masturbating to the thought of going to a chipshow or even playing a chipshow myself, let alone something as big as blip

i'll just act like this thread doesn't exist
