would they feature a chip cover of a rock song that tries to inject its own style or imagination into the original? would we call that a remix and not a cover?

Sure people would call that a remix and sure they would be wrong. Remix should always include original source material. If it doesn't, it's a cover.

You all just made my day.

We had a blast recording that track for datathrash!

On that track list note, I'm dropping out of Sabotage. Not coming together like I want it to.

[Sighs] OK pencil me in for Sabotage. I have an idea.

Using something like a USB cart or EMS Transferer. A 5 second search of the forum would have yielded this. Please search before asking such broad questions!

Can I get my cart with firewire?

@Shadow-Bit: you need to chill. I'm pretty sure that as soon as the carts are available, abrasive will make it very clear how to buy them. If you're worried about finding out in time, there's a button at the top of this page that will allow you to subscribe to this thread. You will then be notified of new posts.

This is a great thread. Some of my methods are reinforced here and I'm also learning some nice tricks.

Lame is a really crappy encoder in my experience.. especially on square waves. Anybody know the science?

Yeah, solo square waves getting mangled. Who woulda thunk it! Sounded fine using lame to encode when I was testing shit out, then once the files were on bandcamp... fuckery

I kinda actually liked the effect here, tho: http://shrimps.bandcamp.com/track/intro
