I want everyone to have exactly the gameboy they want, the gameboy of their dreamz, lets be kind and patient with eachother and make that happen.

If only I had the money and resources to have the game boy of my dreams...

Our time offering these products is limited and I'd like to continue offering a good service while we're still able to.

I was going to ask about this earlier, but decided against it.  Since you mentioned it I will ask so everyone can benefit from the answers: How much longer will you be selling this stuff?  Will items that are currently out of stock be restocked?  You said in the past that some products will only be sold wholesale in the future.  Do you yet know who will be reselling in lower quantities for those who won't be purchasing in bulk, if anyone?

Thank you both for your time, service and products.

/me prepares to stock up on screen covers and stuff...

There was a thread on the smartboys when they started selling again.  I considered ordering one, but decided to pick up another EMS since I could order these domestically, and there are a few other projects being worked on that may prove to work better for me than smartboy carts.

I do need to backup my camera though, so...

Yeah, I guess since they are now 20 years older than when I did this it might be more problematic now.

Of all the damaged and degraded screens I have seen over the years I don't recall personally encountering that before.  The stuff on the right looks like a weird frog headed guy jumping over something.  Blame that guy.

Screens dying really sucks.  I have many with various screen issues already, and last night while playing Tetris a horizontal line popped out in the middle on my main DMG.  I will poke around in some of them next weekend to see if i can fix anything, and if this screen is gone I may swap front boards with one I use mainly with a keyboard for lsdj.  I think good quality replacements are coming soonish...

Why do you think it might be weather related?  What has the weather been like where you are?  When I was younger I left mine in the car occasionally, sometimes in below freezing and very hot temperatures, but the screen always returned to normal after a while.

I really want to get some of that tape.  Seems so useful, even if only for temporary stuff.

What mods to the color(s)?  What was the cost, if you don't mind me being even more nosy?

Also, no rights are being infringed upon.  If you don't like the terms of use here, go somewhere else.  The mods actually go out of there way to treat people right, but this forum does have a topic.  I don't try to force discussions on violin strings, or military surplus deals I have found (or politics, or religion) because they don't belong here.  The moderators are trying to keep out all the spammers and hate mongers who try to disrupt the regular discussions.

Feel free to go out in public with your stupid pictures if that is the message you feel obligated to share with the world, and when your rights are truly violated then you can bitch about it.  Until then, no one cares.  Your threads are all still there for everyone to see.  Someone will contact you if they really care enough to discuss it.

oh, and yes, lurk more, post less.

I should have mine by then too, but thanks.  I just wanted to get some stuff ready if I could.

I like this, especially Link.

Do you have the kitsch-bent pastel yellow buttons in hand?  I have a question about the color.

What I was looking for was a PC card for an HP 100LX.  I went with CF cards (which this is very picky about without a driver...but how do you get the driver on it without something else that works) and an adapter due to price, plus I could use the cf cards in other stuff I have.

In response to your questions: Compatibility; don't remember; the more complicated you make things the more that can go wrong, so it is best to stick with something that it was designed to work with.

DAMN IT.  I should have added one to my order.

I meant that as a joke because of timing and "GIVE BACK".  Regardless, thank YOU.

I suppose new stuff is forthcoming?

I might be proving your point, but on the matter of Floppies, like cassettes I can still run to a pharmacy or dollar store and pick those up along with sd cards. So the residual life beyond their obsolescence is already 15+ years depending on how you look at it. That thought makes me feel a little better in regards to long term availability.

This is a perfect example of all the issues I have been having.  For floppies I need double density, preferably 5.25 inch, since I have the drive already, but even a DD 3.25 readily available in stores would make me smile (even if they are in rough shape).  CF cards are available relatively cheap at present, but those are different than the ones for the 20 year old guy I am trying to use them with.  Also SD/SDHC/SDXC and mini/micro are the same problem: with lack of forward compatibility these SD carts are hard to feed in x years.

For those with a bit more stuff, for a bit more money, Pelican/Peli cases are nice.  I have a 1300 that i use for some DMGs and other small noisemakers.
