Are the neon green buttons from kitsch-bent, and clear green from asm?  From that pic the clear ones look nice, and lighter than I thought the asm ones were.

I never expected CGB battery to be so good

All this made sense and matched our findings compared to last time except the untimely demise of the original Game Boy. For some reason, it only lasted around half the time it did on the first test.

I didn’t think all that much about it until I started editing and uploading the video. As viewers quickly saw, at the moment when the Game Boy’s battery runs out you see one of my children appear and then disappear, nudging the table. One viewer even created an animated GIF with the hard evidence."

I found this yesterday.

Good stuff.  I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

I like the panel-mount ones with the oversize nut, but I would only put them in a kitsch case. I did mine that way with ribbon cable and it's treated me right. smile

Those are exactly what I am looking for, as I don't want to use glue.

Does anyone suggest a particular PS/2 port?  I only need one and don't want to pay a too much for shipping, so local or a place I am going to order other stuff would be best.  Did kitsch say he was going to be selling them?

I fucking love the Dark Grey Boy...too bad money forces me to customise my own stuff.

The clear blue seems cool too. I am going to need to buy more guts to shove in all your cases.  Maybe I should wait for you to make an "extreme green" rather than try to dye my own.  So far I have done good not buying a bunch of clear cases, but now you tell me new and unexpected stuff is coming.  Screw it, I am just going to start ordering everything I want as soon as I can.

Thanks for the update.

Kitsch, when can we expect black or white cases?  Are we looking at weeks, months, years?

EDIT:

There is so much wrong here.

Here's the author's twitter, @nescience. It's going to take a lot of restraint for me to not directly tell him how bad this article is.

His chosen twitter username suggests to me that he should not be taken as an authority on anything, as he is blatantly ignorant.  Was that your point, because it seems a good one to me?  I say give him hell.

Your personal style and music may somewhat influence what the audience is receptive to.  Bringing back performance art, I suspect that most fans of music that is traditionally associated with dancing will be less receptive to things like Coum Transmissions (for example, check out the first google result for "performance transcript coum transmissions") or Genitorturers shows (but, really, what do I know...I mentioned Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti?).  My tastes are different than most, but it is really a symbiotic relationship, and comes down to enjoying what you are doing, finding those who will be supportive of that, and want to experience it.

@Sycamore Drive: If you want  to sit in the corner, do it.  If you feel the need to interact with the audience more, toss them candy and shine lasers on them or something.

On Kitsch's backlight item page there is an image with a bunch of colors (regular, inverted then bi-vert). But really, go nuts! Any backlight will be an improvement on a working system so just use one that appeals to you.

The pics on his site were the  "available" ones I meant.  The red inverted and biverted are kinda hard for me to see.

I agree with what you said about backlighting in general being better, and I have kinda gone nuts with it. I currently have white, blue, yellow and green.  Especially after I get black and white cases I plan on getting most available colors, and some I plan on having both biverted and inverted.

'clear neon pink' dmg buttons -- ONE SET LEFT!!!

That sucks.  I was looking through everything yesterday and really wanted those, but decided to wait until a few other things I need/want are available.  Will you be restocking clear neon pink or other colors any time soon?  Would it be a problem for me to send a PM or email with a list of things I am waiting for so that I can plan my purchases around when you expect to have everything available?

Does anyone have any pics of purple backlit screens in normal/inverted/biverted?  Also, it is difficult for me to tell with the pictures available, and I tried a google image search, but it looks like the red backlights are easiest to read with when normal.  Can anyone confirm or deny that, or point me toward additional pictures?

No.

I don't busk, however I do own a Danelectro Honey Tone.  These are cheap, cheesy little 9 volt battery powered amps.  It puts out some decent sound, so maybe this is something to consider.  I know Smokey Amps and the Pignose 7-100 have a bit of a reputation.

Those always make me think of the film "23".
