I doubt you'll have de-solder the battery. Hopefully this will info will get everything back in order.

If I were you, I'd do the following in this order:

1. Blow the cartridge
2. Check to see that your on the correct page of the cart (Green led on the top means second page is active)
3. Try a different Gameboy
4. Try plugging the cart into you computer running flashing software, Does the software accept the cart as is or are there issues
5. If cart loads successfully try and do a save of the SRAM (Even if the cartridge is fucked somehow, SRAM may be readable)
6. Attempt to re-flash your LSDJ ROM after a format of the cart

If its still not working after all of that then I'd suggest reformatting and trying a variety of other ROMs to see how it behaves.

The "D3's" and "39's" happen, mostly when LSDJ freezes intensely (Easy to do with CPU clock mods) or when you shut it off while the sequencer is still playing. Most of the time you original save data is still intact so you can just load it from the save before the crash.

I have never attempted any .savs in an emulator. Emulators have their own sound I guess too but that is irrelevant.

Anyways if the cartridge is still acting up after attempting all the above then I'd recommend that you highlight the "Load/Save Song" in your project menu and hit Select + A it will pop up with a small box saying REALLY? say yes. You could attempt to transfer any of the .savs on your computer you may have backed up.

THANKS TSC!
My computer seems to install and execute this program swimmingly.

Searched the internet high and low, nada...
Seems like a very cool project, why was it abandoned?

Jup, dat had je ook gewoon kunnen doen.

But I found what the problem was. When I installed the biversion chip I had cut 3 wires (not 2) so I bridged the last (on the left of them) but combined with bad soldering it did something (likely grounded) with the right channel which apparently lays besides that. but now its fixed so finally my first DMG is done (for now?).

Good detective work! There is always more modifications too be done.

Okay, its really that simple? Do I have to make any special instruments or enter instrument numbers in the phrases? Is each channel a different chain or will identical ones do?

Edit: Also is there any certain combination of keys I should hit to properly test them? Also when/should there be an I## in the project screen?

Yes. I have read the whole thing. I couldn't find anything about what I should enter in the pu1, pu2, wave, and noise channel.

All the keyboards power on. I don't know if they'll sync until the sequencer is set up properly.

I have a DMG with a PS/2 port modification, running LSDJ 4.6.7.
I haven't gotten any notes too play from any keyboards on any channel.

How exactly do I set up the sequencer to work with keyboard sync? I can't find this anywhere.

If somebody could make a .sav with just the proper settings for a keyboard attachment, I would be so very thankful!

A small addition to the point "(Some) buttons don't work". The power supply is generating a negative voltage, about -19V, for the LCD. The lead on the ribbon cable that carries this voltage, is right next to one of the lines that has to do with reading the joypad. If you disconnect or connect the ribbon cable while the power is on, these two may short and permanently destroy one of the button inputs on the CPU. When this happens, left and B stop working at the same time.

BEWARE! DON'T EVER TAKE THE RIBBON CABLE OUT WITH THE POWER STILL ON!
I have lost 3 or 4 of my DMGs due to doing this accidentally.

Why would you only put the left side of the ribbon cable in? This sounds very dangerous, it could easily fuck your CPU's detection of button presses. So I would recommend inserting it all the way or leaving it disconnected.

Does the stereo problem happen only with the headphone jack? or RCA too? (I'm assuming you don't have 1/4")
Is it the left or right channel that is still functional?

First of all, Damn! Very nice work my man.

And then I'll of course have the V1 which will be a standard PCB with easily replaceable resistors for high limit and low limit. I'll probably sell pots and switches separately on the site so you can just order a full kit.

So does this mean the V1 (GetLoFi version?) is capable of the same things as V2 (or V3?) with additional resistors? If so will these be sold separately so one wouldn't have to purchase a full kit? (I'm assuming the kit includes the PCB)

sad Is it just me that can't connect or has it been an issue for a while now?

Well roboctopus, it's going to be an honor to witness your first performance.
