This reminds me... have you tried the ST emulator on the DS running Maxymiser?

i've not, but i think the emulator is based on castaway, which isn't really accurate enough for maxYMiser which is very hardware-active with all kinds of tricks.

My home setup is a netbook with an emulator and my tracker maxYMiser.

I have a bunch of old Ataris which one-by-one I slowly break by dragging them across Europe on low cost airlines.

Plus a collection of Flying Vs and a mic.

8GB moves to London; London chip scene heats up like fiyah. Coincidence???

People say how quiet the London scene is, but I don't really see it like that.

great fun evening smile smile

STe has RF out?
Did you try 50 and 60Hz refresh?

good luck there in Wales smile

This is bound to be a good night - I'm excited!

i think they both look interesting, particularly the mini kp 2 with its mp3 capabilities.

cool smile what value resistors did you use?

i'm not 100% sure what i used any more, but you could figure it out - 5v, maybe 50mA maximum.. so a few hundred ohms probably

just saw this..

there are certainly some tricksy updates on the mailing list smile i'm not sure i posted the schematic of the sync24 interface there, but i may have indeed described it.

its quite easy to make - an adapter connects to the printer port:

run/stop corresponds to data0
clock corresponds to data1
continue corresponds to data2

you might want to connect some current limiting resistors for safety

theres been times over the last decade where a regular night of sorts has been run.. for example we had a great bi-monthly set of nights at a club called The Asylum in Soho which (if we are honest) was run by Tryst from micromusic. there was certainly interest - place was packed everytime. since then i've organised one or two events a year, and others have dabbled. people always come to them!

the problem is the stress and work of organising these things. its nice the first few times, but there has never been enough responsible organisers to sustain a regular event.

Stu uses it live. Here are some mixes: http://soundcloud.com/stjstu

CrazyQ and 505 are also very nice with it.

It works very close to real decks, heres a mix I did combining the two:

it would be nice to see some more London nights! hatebit is very good, when it occurs, as is handbaked arcade.. we have more action on than you'd think.
