I would really buy one of those smartboys but I'm currently out of money.
Biversion inverts screen again, giving higher contrast.
If the polarizing film is just a detachable sheet, then you can just flip it 90 degrees. If not, then I suggest to do biversion mod.

Have you tried to apply some pressure to the ribbon cable right under the screen while system is on? I had similar problem when I first tried to backlight my MGB.
I had a very bad day and seeing this made me forget why. This is beautiful I cant wait to see it finished!
Just do prosound mod and it should go away.

I forgot to say that the man in my local shop offered me a 3.5mm bit made of cobalt, which he said was perfect for plastic.. Any tip on that?
I don't have any idea from that, sorry
If you use standard drill bit to do a hole, it might be good idea to do first a small hole with smaller bit. I've heard otherwise plastic would crack...
