Part of using a search is recognizing when your search term isn't correct. How to "export" or "save" on a floppy should get more constructive results because "burn" is not part of a magnetic media's nomenclature.

Unless you want to pour lighter fluid on a bunch of old backup carts. Don't breath the fumes.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind next time (:

Take your Amiga and stick it up your non-googling ass.

I love the way you're being a little crying bitch in every thread (:

That's lovely.

The guide doesn't show up, so that kinda sucks.

Yep. Remember that the samples need to be in the proper IFF 8SVX format.

You can get a shit ton and a half of PT-ready samples here: http://aminet.net/mods/inst

Thanks a lot! The samples are the most important (:

And one last question, are there any guides for protracker 2.2a? I can't seem to find any sad

If you have no HD you're pretty much fucked for ADF files. You can't burn them on a PC drive, and IIRC you can't nullmodem them to the Amiga either since most of them are just a wee bit over the size limit of an empty Amiga floppy. I might be wrong though. In any case... The only way to burn them is to transfer them to the Amiga and un-adf them to a floppy there. If they can fix on an Amiga disk, then you're ok.

You can do so with Amiga Explorer: http://www.amigaforever.com/ae/

You'll need to rig up a null modem cable, there are plans for it on the site, it's very simple.

You can download Total Commander from www.ghisler.com and AmigaDX from http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/amigadx.html and use that to be able to open the ADF files on your PC and cherry pick the files you want from the archives, and then use Amiga Explorer to transfer them to the 500.

I'll look into this, it'll be a pain in the ass though but I'll try (:

And samples, can I put those on a floppy and use them in protracker?

Do you have a tracker on there already?  You could load program files into it as samples and use those for loops. (we used to use bits of Workbench back in the day)

I have protracker 2.2a on a disk here, that's all.

The threads I find are pretty old, which isn't a big suprise ofcourse. Are those still reliable?

Could you post a tut on how you did those!?

Hey all,

Here I am again. I found a usb floppy drive and a couple of old floppydisks. Is there a way to transfer .adf files to these floppy's to run these on an Amiga 500.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: or at least samples?

The fuse in the PSU was broken and I replaced it, now it works again! Thanks a lot (:

Is there any tutorial on protracker 2.2 somewhere on the web? I can't seem to find one at all sad

Thanks in advance!

Haha, nice one.

But no idea?

Hey all,

Today I bought an Amiga 500 today. It came with protracker 2.2 as a suprise (it was still in the Amiga), which was awesome.

The thing is, I got it to work but after 5 minutes it froze completely. When I tried to turn it on again, nothing happend. No lights went on or anything.

Anyone knows what happend and how I can fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Why not read this thread in which you posted? I believe the use of Protracker was addressed.

I'll check that out, I thought it kind of turned into a flamethread haha

Thanks so much! I'll be off now!

Hey all,

I'm interested in making music with the Amiga using Protracker. I would love to do it on the original hardware. I know you can easily emulate the whole proces, but I would love to have an Amiga anyway so it would me cool to make music on it. I did Google but it's all kind of vague.

What kind of Amiga do i need?
what kind of hardware do I need?
what kind of software do I need?
Any tips?

I'd love to hear from you all (:

Thanks in advance!

Well, I think it is because $130,- is a bit much for those mods.
I agree that the paintjob is something special (but it has to be someone's taste), but that's kind of it.

I see gameboys sell for $80 which have a biverted backlight, prosound (sometimes also RCA) and half time clock mod.

Personally I think $130,- is a bit much, but that might just be me.

Good luck selling it!
