Once notes get that low, I know most of the bass will be unhearable through most speakers. mainly I'm interested in experimenting with the noise channel and some synth sounds, and abusing V commands. I'll try it out with a GBC

A quarter clocked gameboy...has anyone done this? Like a half clock mod, but to dropping two octaves instead of one?

Asm retro has a tut on how to modify the left and right triggers on the original GBA to act as the start and select buttons.

I have done the mod and it is extremely comfortable to use and helps navigating through the menus, even faster than a DMG... For me.

Looks like I can finally put my old gba to use...

If you decide to use an SP, you're gonna need to buy a headphone adapter. I never realized that the SP didn't have a headphone jack until I wanted to use LSDJ on it. o.0

tempo is usually one of the last things i choose after writing a song.

when I write, I work on all the parts of the instrumentation at the same time. I just work in the order of intro, then the main sections, then the outro.

I already know my answer is going to be the epitome of 'waaay too expisive' but the one product that would be perfect for what you want is the Mooger Fooger MF-101. Is a pedal based moog filter with lfo, cv, and envelope options.

Yeah, the MF 101 seems magnificent but it is a little above my budget. /:

The effect that he used in this video just sounds like a low pass filter with resonance, but what is that called? I'd like to get a guitar pedal or mixer with it.

I agree with sandnell, I think splitting the board is going to result into one board becoming the new 'general discussion' and the other one probably having not a lot of posts. I think having a few well-visited broadly-defined boards trumps having a lot of 'empty' boards
