You could always force yourself to do a One Hour Battle over on Battle of the Bits http://battleofthebits.org/
I find that these is one of the easiest ways to just write something for the sake of writing smile

Here is some of my work, send me a PM, sometime if you are interested. I'm pretty busy as of right now however, and because of that I haven't been writing much, but we could work something out. wink

Lazerbeat, herr_prof: hehe nice finds!
B00daw: That is pretty awesome, I am tempted to try that out smile

Oh and one more thing Cuddle, for the future, try out DefleMask, it is a tracker that supports serveral chipsets including the Gameboy and has a rom export feature! (And if I understand correctly, you can use that for playback on the GameBoy)
Hope this helps.

Here's the thing, FamiTracker is a tracker for NES music, not gameboy. It uses different hardware than the GameBoy, and it has different channels too.
Think of it like trying to play a CD on a turntable, they are two different formats.
Best you can do is retrack it all in LSDJ, or whatever program you use.

"Dogshit dildo" might be a hilarious phrase but the site isn't that bad.

Well the "links hub" is only 16 links, plus 6 artist links, 1 of which i've heard anyone else mention before.

And the links hub includes his own personal site, a ROM site, bandcamp and soundcloud, and 4 different links that all go to retrousb.

It's hilarious phrase AND the site is bad. It's basically a vanity project with no real substance.

Which you could argue is the entire reason for him asking for links.

How about adding sites like 8bitpeoples, botb, iimusic, and ubiktune. As well as links to trackers, such as milkytracker, Famitracker Deflemask, and such. I'll PM you a list of links when I have the time

Amazing work rainwarrior, I had actually listened to most of these a few months ago! I really think you did a fantastic job porting them over, it's masterfully done man!

This is a positive, simple and forward thinking approach to getting a more varied idea of chip music into non-hardcore folk's brains.

other people didn't think so.

I stopped even looking in this thread after a while, but I like this idea.

Brace yourself for all the puns! ^_^ Nice music!

What you are asking for is kind of hard to do well, if you really want that ambient sound, play around with custom vrc7 patches, or just add it in audacity when you've finished the song, if you really want to do it through DPCM though it's not impossible, just know that it will most likely sound bad, be very short and/or have a lot of noise artifacts you also won't be able to change volume. Necrophageon did a good example of this however, check out his FTM here -> http://famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=4318 I would ask him before you take those samples though, I'm only intending that to be an example. Hope this helps, really the best thing to do would be to add it in post, otherwise it's not really worth it. (IMHO)

Hows the TumbleweedTune Scene?

Posted my thoughts on the soundcloud page.

It reminds me a little of Little-scales album "I am still breathing" which isn't a bad thing

I'm totally down for a collab if anyone wants to work with me, and if I see some of yours songs here, I'll listen and give my opinion. But ultimately you are the judge if it's good enough.

For a very serious response I'd like to be on the radio, and not just the internet radio.

A far-fetched dream is to have my music played in the background of a CSI show while they interview a stereotypcial chipmusician and get everything wrong. I'd love my music to be known for that

And even more far-fetched is to have my music appreciated by everyone for what it is.

little-scale you are so bold with your musical design, I absolutely adore your work! heart
