Re: Inexpensive Low Quality Vinyl Pressing? (97 replies, posted in General Discussion)
how well did those "lathe cut" records hold up?
They have held up fine. It's not something I listen to daily, but they're still fine.
That said - they were very noisy and had a bit of flutter, but they were incredibly poorly mastered by me, and it was just noisy/scratchy punk rock.
They also cost a lot more (each) than if i had gotten them pressed, but I only wanted 50 made, so it was a choice I made.

I've heard horrible reviews of Poly-cut, people saying it's a scam and still backed up on orders from years ago-something to consider before checking that one out. There's other options, though. You also have to make sure your stuff is mastered for vinyl too like stated above, but you could always do that yourself too!
Poly cut was great for me.
I ordered and received my records in a month.

I agree with Lazerbeat. R8 will have more drum sounds than you will ever need to sample, such a huge range of sound as well.

Re: How long have you spent on a release? (69 replies, posted in General Discussion)
It has been quite a large gap between releases for me, but that doesn't mean I've spent all that time on a release. When I do work on music, I have a fast turnaround.

Re: How do you feel when you listen to your own music? (76 replies, posted in General Discussion)
It's a combination of "Fucking love this track" and "I wonder if anyone else listens to this?"
I have another musical project deal which is kind of a joke. And I do the tracks and kind of laugh at them at first, and then I think "OH FUCK I LOVE THIS".

There is a difference between good music and bad music.
I discovered this when smoking 100% pure DMT. Step up your game.
Edit: Musicians who say there is no bad music are like athletes who say it's not about winning.
