I just need to know about the shipping, but 'cause your are also EU i think it won't be that expensive.

True, actually for 3 euros we could make a better use of the money (for the stickers) rather than just for the shipping, at least those who live inside EU.

I see... well that's a shame, I'd like to keep as much plastic as possible. Let's see what plc268 have to say about cutting the metal guide...

So even cutting the guide it'll keep working properly?

Ill buy something in the lines of that kitsch bent goblin or the datatrash shirt, for sure.

AND for 3 euros+ shipping who can say no???

Sorry for putting this up again, but now I've found a nice tool to cut the frontlight and I've come up with another question: Did you just cut the frontlight or the metallic frame connected to the ribbon cable as well? I don't think it'll work if I cut the metallic part, but I want to be sure.

I think it's an excellent idea for keeping track of what's going on if you don't have a lot of time to check everything everyday.

Cool. It's even nicer than I expected. Thank you for the pic.

For those (like me) who haven't decided for one yet, could you post a picture? : D

Yeah I mean I inverted the polarity once, being the same circuit, and the capacitor staying the same, but after having some current in the wrong way for a rather short period of time, it never worked the same, being in the correct position and with the circuit working normal. It modified the sound completely (to a rather bad way).

Try switching the caps, yes. It's not a big deal economically, and anyways the least you can get is improve the life of your DMG sound.

I don't remember if I changed them out or not its been awhile since I modded this one.

lets say I did if I reversed any of them could that be it? or would it even function if I reversed any of the caps?

I know very little about the DMG hardware, but for sure I can tell you that if you reversed the polarity of an electrolytic cap (the ones with polarity), it will for sure not work properly.
Long ago happened to me that I reversed the polarity of a circuit by accident (which had one electrolytic) and after that it never sounded the same (though it kept working).

You really should do it yourself and then monopolize the spanish market (and backlightbme all my dmgs)

As you kow, I'd fancy, but I'd need replacements in case I screw it, which I currently don't have : ( Man I hate how crazy the prices on old consoles are in Spain...
