Right on. Any idea on what voltage that cap needs to be? I really want to try this out.

I love it. I wrote my first chip song on Trippy-H using two Cameras. The wave track sounds really cool to me and I think all the channels have some kind of reverb type deal over them.

I was using it to make a programmer for flash carts. It's in a the works but it's a long way out since I'm too busy with orders. It will never be retail though..

I've added a new order option.
You can add a backlit DMG, MGB or CGB(frontlit) to your cart:

Then you can add a "Custom mod" to your cart:

Choose the option "Installed" on any kit and it will be installed in the backlight(frontlit) that you chose.
All you need to do is enter the backlight color and polarization(normal or inverted) you would like in the comments box on PayPal when ordering.

If you would like more mods than this you will need to e-mail me at [email protected] and I will work up a quote for you!

Interesting. I've already upgraded the Cynthcart ROM. Replaced my SID.
I have a MSSIAH cart so I may try switching to that. Want to put an LCD on my C64 for that though.

Gonna top this and see if I can get help. I replaced my SID and my keyboard works perfectly.
Does anyone know what is going on here?

So here's my "RetroBoy" mock-up.
The cool thing is that both the buttons and screen cover are about 20 years old!
The buttons were old after-market buttons I found in some NES controllers.

And just for fun here is a clear Kitsch case I'm working on for 9-Heart:

I had sold a similar one on Kitsch-bent.com and he wanted another one but in green!
Here's the one he got before:

Thanks everyone!
I plan on making it's green brother soon. But it's gonna look insane and have a bunch of neon colors.
I'll take a photo of the mock-up in a minute.

got mine in and put this together. squeezed in the toggle for the backlight on the front panel in the top right and put the toggle for the underclock on the back panel in line with it. i also placed the 1/8" line out on the back panel in the bottom right. now i could take the gameboy apart without having crossing wires. so much more room in this.

Nice!
Yeah putting the 1/8" jack at the bottom right makes maintenance much easier! I still put mine at the left though because it's easier for actual use.

I just put this guy together.
White buttons and screen cover.
Inverted blue backlight.
Blue Case LEDs v1.1.
1/8" pro-sound.
DMG Audio headphone board.
Painted the speaker white:

That's true! But as a warning it's too late now to order something and get it before Christmas wink

Just to add to this I put two dabs of hot glue at the top of the backlight and LCD so that nothing shifts.
But do exactly what kitsch said and you will be fine. The biggest thing to look out for is when you're closing it back up you have to make sure no points are going to pinch the wires.

Well done! How does one collaborate on a battery cover though? Just wondering smile

what does the filter do?

Nothing special!
As of right now it's just smaller replacement. The purpose is to leave more room on the bottom left if you want to put RCA jacks there or a knob for a variable clock instead of having to remove the speaker. It may sound cleaner as well since it is all new caps and resistors.
