Oh lol. It's the standard reaction to chip stuff though, or at least it is here, I always get something along the lines of "sounds like mario music"

John Cage has a quote about doing something repeatedly until you don't find it boring anymore. A teacher of mine warned that looping on the sequencer is like this, so it is better to record to tape or write on paper than to hear things repeating until you think your riff is good just because you don't remember what anything else sounds like.
Therefore, when you work on a piece until it grows better, it is not a nostalgia effect, unless you haven't done anything to improve the song. For me, especially in chipmusic when working in a strict format, it is more like sculpting.
If I end up just listening to a track on loop for ages, and I don't make any changes because I think it's good, I realize that I'm probably just used to the way it sounds, and that the way it sounds, may not be good. I'll often just go and listen to some other music, be it chiptune or anything else that I like, then come back to my song, and re-listen to see if I can improve it, or if I'm genuinely happy with it.
i feel like ahhhhhh grrrrrrrrr ugh my music is inferior to what else is out there, i hate it. i suck. im thoroughly depressed. i want to shoot myself in the ear.
then a week later i feel like
yeah my shits original, i like it. its decent. yeah actually this has a great vibe. wow im so happy....uh whats thats....why my snares are all too loud....why is that synth resonating horribly when it pans
fuck - i hate myself again !
This, exactly this.
Dude, that's pretty shitty to say the least. I hope everything turns around when you get to vegas with your girl.
so i made a tune on lsdj on my wii homebrew emulator. I cannot seem to find the right one, only the autosave is there.
Don't know exactly, but if you search the SD for .sav files, then you should be able to find it. If you didn't actually save in LSDJ, and only used the emulator's save feature, than that may be why.

interested in those buttons, I'll get back to you about them in the morning.
I'm still in full-time education, but I'm hoping to get a summer job.
That looks pretty cool, but I'm still sceptical as to whether it'll look good with the grape case.
pardon me I was stoned the fuck out, I read this again and realized what I said Sorry for the inconvience, anyhoot when I load samples I get that checksum shit it still works doe, dont worry
With posts like that, who'd have thought it?
Rick Nasty wrote:what happened to NUCLACE? I noticed he took a lot of his releases down off his bandcamp
He's still alive, posting hedgehogs to his heart's content at µCollective
Damn, I was about to say the same thing. It seems a few people have started posting there, rather than here now.
There's only really two people I want to know what happened to them, sserrac and wayne1991. There were others that I wanted to know what happened to them (PixyJunket and tacticalbread) but it turned out both of them just stopped making music. It was nice to find out that tacticalbread is still alive, and hadn't disappeared of the face of the internet. I only found this song by accident, glad I did.
But doesn't LSDJ have a invert option built in now?
It does, but maybe they want to play other stuff inverted or whatever.
Amidst being incredibly poor, and unable to purchase the needed hardware for my keyboard (which will be rectified this evening) I came up with another amazing/weird/stupid idea.
I like to think of it as the "All-of-the-Mods Boy"It's just some stacked up plastic and loose knobs right now (I realize there's plenty of switches and knobs and shit that will need to be included) but I really like the concept. It's thin enough to hold and manipulate, but big enough to fit (essentially) every possible mod you'd want.
Discuss.
Dude, I love you, you think of some of the most amazing shit. The idea sounds interesting, and I can't wait to see what you do with it.
This seems like a pretty cool idea to be honest, I may donate a little towards it. I do think that you saying the mlp kickstarter is just plain wrong is a little rude, I'm by no means a fan of the show, but it's silly to mock people over a cartoon they like. And we have at least one member here who likes the show.
