After waiting a year for the band to record for the album and pick a song, it is finished.

It's also good to see Andy Hertzfeld being featured in things like this. The man is brilliant.

This is a sweet watch from '84 that came to my attention on another forum. I figured many of you guys would enjoy it as much as I did.

Sweet watch, sweet soundtrack, sweet facial hair.

I love hearing Tangerine Dream in the background of anything.

I actually do need a new burrito time machine. My last one blew up.

I have the flux capacitor, I got it at Fry's.

I don't see a flux capacitor on the schematic. Is that for the taco mod?

I think I have some 3 liter capacitors lying around.

do people know it's okay to leave or come back to a place without announcing it?

No. We crave attention too much.

Man, forget about Geordie Shore. You guys should be England's new reality show.

"North East of England"

Please tell me you're from Newcastle. A Geordie chiptune group just seems funny to me.

Also, thank you, thank you, thank you all for all of the well-wishes I received over the year and the few dudes who went out of their way to talk to me and let me vent and offer help. This really is a fantastic community.

I am, in fact, working on "YYZ."

Quite frankly, it's a pain in the ass. BUT, it is very educational and it making me a better programmer. Writing isn't my downfall, but timing and making instruments are. It's really the perfect song for that.

If it works out well, I'm thinking of trying to tackle the one song that I think would me more difficult, "La Villa Strangiato."

Good to see you're well, mate!

Thank you. I've taken some very huge steps.

I also got a dog, and she helps.

And yes, a Rush cover. If you want to challenge your skills in tempo and time signature changes, try doing a Rush song. This is going to be the one thing that probably will take me the longest to finish.

And working on a new release. Some more in veign of my older, minimalist, melodic stuff. Some absurdly repetitive electro stuff. Some absolutely harsh noisy not-melodic-in-the slightest-bit. Some of the previous done with stuff I made.  A Rush cover. It'll be out shortly after the world ends.

What drama did I miss? Is anybody paying me $2,000 to come to their house yet? Has that joke been run to the ground?

I'm making this thread because of the e-mails and messages I've received, and I, frankly, don't have time to respond to them individually and don't have a computer handy to send a mass e-mail. So, first off, I want to thank you guys for the tremendous support I've received regarding my recovery.

I promise you guys that by next year, I'll be back with a release that you may enjoy.

Some of you already know the recent developments that have strongly impaired my physical abilities and certainly has not helped my mental situation. For those who do not know, I have lost the ability to use my left hand due to a random attack a couple of weeks ago. As you can tell, luck has never been my strong point. However, I'm trying to remain optimistic and keep things in a positive light.

Onto the really positive stuff.

Every second, the end of the world is drawing closer.

I did some databending and made up this NES ROM. It's chaotic, it's experimental, and it will end whenever the world does. If you leave it on in a room somewhere, you can always go into that room and be reminded that the end isn't here yet. Go out and fulfill your life while it lasts. For some reason, this fact and this ROM soothes me in the same way that AM radio static does.

Anyways, thank you all and enjoy.

P.S. Those who want to get ahold of me but didn't know how can do so by e-mail at [email protected] or through AIM at tim0r0usme

P.P.S. See y'all next year!!!!

Alright, let's be honest, I couldn't resist checking this thread. An alcohol-induced rant is happening now.

Mods/admin, by all means, close or delete this.

I didn't mean to cause some sort of shit storm. I expected a good amount of support/hatred resulting from this, and I expected the support to be from the people who matter. I was right.

Some of you guys have been wishing me luck, and to that, I thank you. Some of you guys contacted me outside of here with tremendous support, and to that I thank you. To the people who have been reacting the opposite way, please, hear me out on this.

I am sick. Mental illness is an illness. If I made a post saying that I almost died of cancer and I'm leaving the community for a bit to recover, this whole discussion wouldn't be happening. Why is it so different when I almost die from depression?

This is a community that I love. This is a community that has been a part of my identity for years. This is a part of my life. All of you are a part of my life. When I choose to take a break from that, I want to inform everybody involved about it. Everybody involved is all of you.

Were some of the responses here expected? Of course. Are they justifiable? Honestly, maybe. But, really none of it matters.

Maybe I should have left the original post at this, and from this point, maybe we can just forget this ever happened:

Hey, chipmusic, I'm sick. I have an illness. I'm going to take some time to recover. I'll be back in about a year or so. See you then.

Anybody who wants to get ahold of me should know how to.
