This is my second circuit.

The basics:

Two 4558 dual op amps. One as the main oscillator, one as an LFO to make the tremolo effect.

One 386 to amplify it to the speaker. 386s honestly suck, hence the motorboating. It doesn't do that when ran through a line out.

The main tuning resistor for the primary oscillator was made by attaching a cable to a stylus on one end and pieces of film to the other.

The main tuning capacitor for the primary oscillator is actually six capacitors on a rotary switch, pulled from a Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz Pedal.

If you're interested in me making you something like this, let me know, and we'll work something out.

I almost just bought one of these. Fuck being broke at a chip show.

I for one applaud NeX for his hard work on this. It's quite stunning how much effort he's put into his work, and it's generally quite nice. Now, I understand there are some people disgruntled by the idea that NeX's work is being used/abused as a showcase for an upcoming Nonfinite project, but despite this I think his modding technique is pretty dang good.

thanks everyone for the kind words i am glad you like my gameboy. i personally am very bad at making music, i prefer to make electronics, i was always told "stick to what you're best at" so i am pushing the limits of gameboys rather than music,

arfink, i am using this gameboy to promote Nonfinite's new product, but not because i want to cause kitsch to loose any customers, but purely because the Nonfinite team sent me a free backlight, and asked me to see what i could make it do. so in return i am making it aware that i wouldn't have even started this gameboy if they hadn't done that and i am greatful,

either way i hope people are inspired to start using RGB backlights, and although it wont make your music better its all good fun smile

This is the last time I want to see "kitsch" and "loose" in the same sentence.

Just letting you know that I took out the prices being negotiable.

I feel like I should fully explain this.

I already lowered them to what I think is a good deal (what I would take as a steal if I had the money and somebody else was selling them).

I'm in too rough of a financial situation to not get as much as I can.

To put it in perspective, I have $2.37 in my bank account. I get paid Tuesday, in which after paying bills, I'll probably have $50 to last me until the 15th, which I have to save since the one after that is my final paycheck and my student loans take effect again.

To put that in perspective, me selling everything will give me a total of $355 in my bank account. That's not a lot of money, and that's me being hopeful.

I might have to sell some of my records, and I really don't want to have to do that.

I finally fixed that damn Arduinoboy. It's sloppy, but it works.

For those who were interested and still are. PM me again.

Also, I'm tight on cash and losing my job in exactly one month, so I'm willing to do some Game Boy mods to anybody interested. PM me with what you want done.

I like the idea that with Prop 8 overturned, I can take you away to California to get married.

I don't really want to, I just like the idea that I can.

I mean... Unless you want to...

Just kidding.

But if you really wanna...

I know that I'm bumping an old thread here, but I just fixed the one that I had. I did so extremely sloppily. Melted wire, the works. Works great, just doesn't look so if you open it up.

The reason isn't because I'm poor at soldering or do a sloppy job. I'm usually nice and clean with my work. The reason is that this is a GREATLY made product. It's extremely tight in there and hard to get into to, and I must admit that I kind of feel bad for making an aesthetic mess out of what was honestly a beautifully well-done product. Great job.

I'm considering doing the same thing. Buskers in Pittsburgh are boring for the most part.

Does anybody know what the conflict here was? As far as I can tell, he was on public property.

I just stumbled upon this. I wanted to make a note that on my bluegrass sounds, the S-EC on the table should NOT be there. I don't know why it is. It was probably my mistake when posting it on the original thread.

This isn't a problem if you use it on P2 obviously.
