Was so close to getting one but I don't know now. There are plenty competent ways of getting these same channels and sounds already. I'm sure it's neat but... eh. *Shrug*

Yes. Very good. big_smile Piano is such a fantastic instrument. It just contrasts thing in such a fascinating way I think. Especially here with the harsh LSDJ sound :3

I've played "Cake Blaster" and "Modem Talking" like 20 times a day each since hearing them. They are... too good almost. smile

Not to imply the rest isn't also fantastic. Just... wow.

Yeah FMDrive is more geared towards "real" emulation. There's a ton of stuff in there you can change if you know what the heck it does. I don't. I'm not great at programming that damn chip. Also, it's like 15 bucks? that's pocket change compared to some other VSTs out there. Spend it if you can, Aly James rules. smile

I've only checked out YM2612 briefly. But as far as emulating the YM2612 chip, I think FMDrive is the fullest around likely.

Well, it's not really their type of music so you know haha x)

Hehe, I think my friends saw you play live a few months ago!

Dave Jones knows whats up... He is the man. Love his channel so much.

Hell yeah, I think it's funny how his voice is like a Shepard tone when he gets excited. Gets increasingly high pitch but it stays the same hahaha.

But yeah, I don't really buy it either. I bet there's a way to get batteries to be more efficient but really don't know if this'd be the way to do it.

I guess just do what you love rather than what you think people want to hear. I mean, that's the shortest path to mediocrity, to ride the wave, so to speak and just copy what everyone else thinks is hot right now.

But I think one could very often recognize one's own "sonic signature" or whatever.
I recognize my songs based on the sound of the instruments and the shit composition. But I pick those sounds/instruments because I like them. soooo that's not something that's going to go away as I get better at composing and writing stuff. Hence, a signature sound.

Don't really know if this is what you mean by style? But that's at least what I've noticed so far in my own work.

Do your best "you" you can. smile

Also I love how he called it "Drama", trying to elude the fact that it was simply a STUPID FUCKING SUGGESTION.

Yes that's quite the sick collection. Very good smile

Midi sync'd be a start. Get the two to sync up somehow.

Sounds pretty catchy to me smile It's totally possible to whistle them, which is usually a good indication that it's a catchy tune. Now they're not ear worms. (which is good.)

They're varied (both during a song and from song to song), nice grooves, mixing sounds good. I like! big_smile Keep it up!

And thank the gods that they did away with the old UI from the early 00's.. Now it doesn't look like a website 14y/o kids used to chat with each other in the early days of popularized websites.

Why do you feel like a dumbass? They're both excellent tools and very different in their approach to digital audio.

Mostly a joke, friend. smile Based on that "can't afford ableton" thing. ^^
