there is a VGM player you might like to check out: http://www.smspower.org/maxim/SMSSoftware/VGMPlayer

it may help out in this...  this cart handles SMS roms, so it shouldn't be an issue running this software and playing back VGM this way...

and, next up are n64 carts i believe.  and, yeah, gameboy development is going to happen is about all i know as well.

For sure reason that softwarte does not WORKA T ALLL on my dell xps. Works fine on any other usb chipset.

XPS and dell 400 series have issues with 3rd party drivers.  that would be a problem, yes.

the everdrive-GG flash carts may support this. they do SMS and GG ROMs both...

they are on the way, so i can't test just yet, but if anyone has one already and cares to check, that'd be a way to do this on your GG instead of SMS...  without the other bits.

this is verrrrry oool by the way.  simple but perfect is oh so many ways, and with a sample-importing guide now!  can't beat that...

sooo, i wanted to make this pitch to anyone thats interested yet again.

in short... :

1) we ship worldwide on a daily basis
2) you might want some free advertising/exposure
3) you should take advantage of the convenience of all this...

so, if you've got flyers, stickers, business cards, or something similarly lightweight and flat and non-perishable or dangerous, PLEASE feel free to send some our way, and when we do packages we'll drop one in and then you know whoever gets it will at least be interested in what you do.  its a targeted audience, and you can get your adverts out and promote whatever it is you do within this scene on the backs of our packages.  two birds, one stone.

our shipping address is on the website, but here it is for good measure:

kitsch-bent
p.o. box 927
hickory, nc 28603-0927
USA

there isn't any benefit in this for us.  its no extra cost, and this thread got very very buried.  but, it can still be of some use...

use us!  the offer stands...  i'm feeling helpful.

also, if you have an event and you'd like us to target the people who get your flyers geographically, we're happy to do this.  in other words, if you are planning something in california and want west coast people to get the limited amount of flyers you send, just tell us and it'll happen.  or whatever.  its pretty easy to do stuff like this, if anyone has a request along these lines...

some labor is worth the money.  it just up to the paying person, and what they value.  also consider that waste is calculated into this.  and, there is a lot of waste with DMGs now, as they're breaking a good bit.  its all the LCDs fault...

anything done with playing in acetone deserves the pay.  that stuff is nuts and it hates you.

if anyone remembers....

the paint that Thretris was using that let the 'Nintendo game boy' decal show through was Krylon XXXXXXX?   what was it?  Metal Effects or something like that?  I remember he used the blue paint on the pic he uploaded wherever it was he showed it off...  just don't remember the paint.  it was nice though.

you want something that bonds to plastic, thats important.  and, prepping the surface, even with the bonding, is a good idea.  light sandpaper...  very ver fine guage.

ok, someone help with that paint....

And what would that do? Haha

lower the volume wink

in the older analog audio systems the volume knob is a potentiometer (like a guitar's volume knob for example), which is a variable resistor.  adding just a resistor will set the volume lower to a specific level, exactly as if you turned the pot there and left it forever.

people make audio resistors, but they're for loudspeaker systems and thats overkill.  so, no need to worry with those, if you find them in your googling....

edit: ie, an audio signal is an electric signal, so with a resistor you have the audible effect of lowered volume wink
