why is this acceptable and not Crystal Castles hipster rip offs from kids? Guys I never understand.

Because Xilent is not sampling another artist's work without permission. What you are describing is total apples and oranges. A little Internet research will uncover what Crystal Castles did that had everyone so mad.

Also how about Animal Crossing, every KK track that he performs live for you is a weird combination of guitar and weird speech synthesis that is supposed to represent his singing & whistling. And then he gives you tapes and you go and play them in your house and it's a completely different arrangement with cheesy muzak instruments. Whoever came up with this is a genius.

I mean there's a lot of guys out of the OC remix community that came up doing dubstep remixes of VGM tracks, and some big names like Zedd and Excision that have done major label VGM dubstep releases, but there's a big difference between sampling a classic VGM OST track and actually making an original track with chiptune VSTs (which you all know already)!

I'd prefer not to have to compose on a VB, but if that's the only method available then I would. The whole eyestrain thing...having to take frequent breaks... kind of annoying. That is interesting that there is a model with a video out, though. That would make song writing a lot more tolerable. Not to mention it opens up some sweet possibilities for visuals at live shows big_smile.

Would much much much rather have an editor/emulator on the computer that I could then transfer the song to the cart and then play it on the VB.

So Super Mario RPG is one of my favorite soundtracks and it's full of some great original SNES soundtrack work as well as some cool easter eggs for fans of the Mario and Final Fantasy Series. Nothing super weird here but this track is quite interesting, it's from Valentina's castle, she's one of the later bosses and she's super high society with a really annoying laugh, and the song repeats this laugh panned left and right throughout the whole thing, it gets really annoying and creepy quick and the whole time you feel like she's watching you from somewhere in the castle.

Also this track is from a chase event underground and just happens to be a remix of the original underground theme from Super Mario Bros.

Xilent is my absolute favorite dubstep producer right now, I've also been listening to his earlier drum n bass stuff too and it's all very very good.

so uh, I managed to get the torrent and now I'm seeding it.

not bad for a tongue-in-cheek EP!

I was so obsessed with this game growing up. Probably poured like 200 hours or more into it. Maybe played all the way through like, 3 times?

I mean it's super simple but I just love how full the melodies sounded on this OST.

Also no one ever talks about the sick boss music in Kirby's Dreamland 2, why?

I love you all too, but not unlike a girl loves 4chan after showing her tits on /b/. Nevertheless, I love you all :3

If you've listened to the album, give me a shout about the tracks! It is my first fakechip album so I know nothing about producing this kind of music.

Oh and the name?   It's just something a 13-year-old boy thinks sounds cool in Spanish without knowledge about Spanish  grammar. It has stuck around for fifteen years or so alongside Darth Wanker and Dr. Uppercut.

PLEASE SEED.

I forgot exactly how to do this, I recommend looking it up in the manual, but the default parameter that you can automate "per-note" is envelope, and well, if you want to automate some other parameter (like LFO frequency), you can do that! You just have to change the parameter that is highlighted on the instrument settings screen. Again, I can't remember how you do this, but it's definitely in the manual. It's nice if you want to make a wobbly bassline with a changing LFO frequency within a single pattern.

Strong Suit does this! I have been trying to figure it out but i do not seem to follow his directions

it is also awesome for combining the functions in channels! you can have two parts in one channel because you can make the components so different

it's in the manual!
