This EP is a collection of some of my early works, each song exploring the KORG DS10 software in different ways, experimenting with ideas and exploiting its features to make unique sounds. If these songs serve any purpose, it's simply to be examples of what the DS10 has to offer. Listen & enjoy.

Wow this page blew my mind, there are so many more apps than I thought, and this page didn't even mention Tonesynth, Rytmik, Rhythm Core Alpha, any of the Retro Keyboard apps, etc. etc.

Re: some question about nintendo DS (9 replies, posted in Nintendo Consoles)
KORG DS10 is not so great for percussion, especially if you want open hi-hats... I would recommend looking at Rytmik (which requires a DSi since it's download ware) or any of the homebrew apps like GlitchDS. Or wait for M01 which will have sampled drum sounds

im in the same boat, if ds-10 never came out, i wouldnt really be excited about this. ...
It's funny, if DS10 never came out, I wouldn't be making music, I wouldn't be on these forums, and I wouldn't be so in love with KORG. And I didn't actually use DS10 for months after I first bought it!
id just like to point out im not arguing with anyone, if your not excited your not excited, its cool.
I kinda wish anyone that's not excited would leave so we can have our M01 love fest / pre-release party in here.

Can this be synced to DS10 with wifi?
Nobody knows yet but that's been the #1 requested feature from everything I've read.

Re: Korg M01 (49 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
As I said before, to each their own, but I have to say that I wouldn't use this thing on its own. It will go well with the DS10, since there are times I want to have real instrument sounds in a song without having to synthesize everything.

Oh yeah, i saw this, i wanna play with it myself though
is it all sample based, or does it do synthesis too?
It's all sample based. Think of it as a complement to DS10.

wooooo oh yeah... a preset machine... whooo?... wait... dont give a fuck.
The Korg M1 was the world's first widely-known music workstation. Its onboard MIDI sequencer and palette of sounds allowed musicians to produce complete professional arrangements. Outselling the Yamaha DX7 and Roland D-50, the M1 became the best-selling digital synthesizer of all time, which it remains today.
To each their own, I guess.

The original wasn't on the wii, it was on PS first iirc... but it was the better version by most accounts. I don't blame them as such, but I would much prefer to watch/play a game that is so stylistically awesome on a big screen TV rather than a handheld.
No I mean the original was on both the PS and then on the Wii, and when it came to Wii, they gave it a totally new play control so it wasn't just a port. Also I think they can reach a bigger audience on the DS than the Wii, at least I think they will get more sales.

Hey guys, I just got another great track from mathgrant! I have to say, the songs I've received are infinitely better than anything I've done with DIY... this comp is gonna do DIY so much justice.
