Amiga samples are really not that hard so redrawing the waveform and copypasta-ing most sample settings will get you close.

If you want to save a song and keep the sounds you need at least 1 pattern in the song editor in which it have your instrument used in it...so input all your instruments at least once in the pattern add your pattern in the the song editor at the top right and save the song !

You can also save your sounds as a kit I believe.

Watching others do it helps a lot too. Watch how people structure melodies, et cetera.

If you are into melodic chiptunes you should listen to DRAX (Thomas Mogensen) sometime. Some of my favorites are Pubhorny, Clarencio, Sinful, Depressed, Swamp Poo, and KickAssembler Easteregg remix.

Definitely agree on this. drax is great.

Ebay is a good place to find an ST. Look for an STe preferably but an STf works as well.

You can use your own TV with scart if you look for a cable like this: http://www.retrogamingcables.com/atari- … d-rca.html that is a lot cheaper than an actual Atari ST screen.

Musicmon is a good way to start as well if you're not that in to Maxymiser, but Maxy will do just fine!

Whistling tunes and putting them in programs.

Most of the sets were videotaped as well so if you search for Square Sounds Tokyo 2013 on Youtube you'll probably get a glimp of the shows as well.

Well we (cerror and I) are heavily inspired by oldschool-ish (demoscene) like chiptunes. I can recommend you check out the modland FTP (ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/modules/) and then especially the Protracker and Fasttracker sections, loads of modules to be found there. Few artists you should definitely check out: loonie, radix, ghidorah, ctrix, arachno, jeroen tel, malmen, joule, 4-mat, mano, xerxes, zalza, moh, maktone and archon.

Simple responsive design. :-)

You can actually buy a pretty complete kit to achieve this by getting the SD Floppy Emulator that Lotharek made. Works like a charm. :-)

Haha, fun to see not a single comment in this thread is actually about the song.
