Noice setup dude, the rhythm jester thing intrigues me. Imma have to do some research.

Thanks dude, the jester is like a very light version of the rhythm king.
Mine has only 10 rhythms, no trigger buttons for the samples and less samples as well... It's a very analog drum-box, and it sounds a bit like this:

My WIP setup
I'm still working on getting everything running and connected, but most of the gear is here smile

Left to right:

  • gameboy with soon to be lsdj keyboard

  • Commodore 64-SX running Cynthcart (getting a mssiah, and have an extra Sid to add)

  • Meastro Rhythm Jester with added nes pad to trigger the sounds

  • Atari ST now running MusicMon

  • Some extra Gameboys

  • Laptop used to burn commodore disks on a 1541 drive

I also got this thingy:

It's a Commodore MIDI cart.. But i have no clue how to use it..
If anyone can get me some more info on these, because i couldn't find any... would be cool if I could use it with Cynthcart..

people have done this.. The thing is, you have to replace some components to make it fit in an old cart, that's why the EMS cart has a higher shell sticking out of the gameboy.

I'm trying to find some sort of tutorial, but everything redirects to 8bc big_smile

basically what you need to do is relocate that round thingy component (can't think of the name atm...) at the top to the bottom of the cart with some wire..

here's a blog article on the bleepbloop cart that links to 8bc, in case it ever gets back online....

Exactly what kind of problems are you having? Make sure you have an instrument in each note.

Yeah, I think would be my main problem..
If i had an instrument with a low envelope, I wasn't able to play any notes after that..

I'm gonna play with it some more tomorrow smile

Ha, I just made an internal PS/2 port yesterday, after seeing your old post smile

It does work, but I still have some troubles with switching instruments and playing notes.
But it's still fun!

and it's easier to figure out the notes for a melody, because you can easily play it, without having to track it first..

Well, there might be a pink DMG. Nobody ever saw one, but there was one in a picture from a nintendo advertisement way back.. So it's a bit of a holy grail thing.

I'm pretty much positive that the pink Game Boy was a hoax and that was cleared up already.

I want to believe tongue
